Okay, I voted...but the readers of this online publication are clearly not Prince's demographic. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

no can do becasue those days are lonnnnng gone. It's always the way that the best current live acts are just starting out in their career so have to raise their game and show the hunger. P is understandably past that as live he has nothing to prove anymore....although recent ticket sales may suggest that he needs to stop being complacent. | |

these things aint really a true judgement ... anyone who seen prince knows he is one of the very best an in a different league altogether
solo PRINCE JAMES BROWN JOHNNY CASH SPRINGSTEEN MJ ELVIS 68 - 72 not far behind JERRY LEE LEWIS / CHUCK BERRY
bands THE ROLLING STONES THE WHO QUEEN LED ZEPLIN
i aint hugely into all of them ..but appreciate that they have/had something special live that makes other good live bands/acts seem not so good in comparison KINKS are one of the best bands of all time ... but aint one of the best LIVE every prince show is something special ... whenever i want to hear some new music ...i make some - prince '99' | |

Voted. I have not seen Rush or GNR live lately, but Prince throws one hell of a show, gives it his all. As solo performers go, I don't think there is anyone even close to being in Prince's league. [Edited 6/8/11 17:00pm] | |
