The worst track on the album, horrible, cringeworthy, a waste of cd space...

Always liked it. Very lush, sickly sweet yes, very pop, would probably have worked better sung by a woman? Reminds me of Standing At The Altar, not really in style - but just how mainstream pop it is - there's not too much Prince quirk to it.

Even if it's possibly about his son's death I don't have a huge problem saying that it's a bad track. On some level it's an enjoyable melody, but stylistically it's just inexcusably tacky.

I was about to make a thread saying the opposite! Awful, awful track. Up there with the worst he's ever done. It's about as cringe worthy and vomit inducing as an MJ ballad. No disrespect to Prince of course, i'm sure he had his reasons.

wow, this once again shows the diversity of tastes on the Org. i LOVE this track. one of only three that make NPS not a COMPLETE throwaway. the hate for this track, from just a few posts is surprising. "cringeworthy" (i reserve that word for songs like Jughead, and a few others), really?! eek

Me too, its very moving. Its the only real track on that album that was really genuinely good, the rest of the album is not great.

LOVE IT.
Great ballad. He should have released this as a single instead of Come On (funky though it is) or promoted this rather than The One.

Whoa dare, easy now on the "Jughead." No need to get all crazy n stuff. lol

I'm playin' (kinda), but I really do like "Jughead." It's a fun and funny song with a crazy funky vibe that I love. It's not say, "Erotic City,'' but it is a nice album cut. (showing my age) lol.

Yes, you are so right about the diversity of tastes on the Org. I'm not ga-ga crazy about "Until Ur In My Arms Again,'' but it is touching and, like most Prince songs, even if it's not a hit to you, it is still good quality stuff, so I do like listening to it when I pop in that CD.

I used to think it was a nothing ballad a real bland emotionless pop tune untill I heard it was about his son. Then I went back and listened to it and got a lump in my throat. It's really subtle but when you hook into that other emotion that's there you sudenly hear how perfect his peformance was
