I remember seeing a version on TV that you could quite clearly see Kristen Scott Thomas's nipples in the "birthday suit" scene.

I have never seen it on any other version,vhs or dvd.

Any info on this?

I don't lurk 'round these parts much these days, but I'm glad I stopped by today. I've wanted to piece together a stage play/pop opera inspired by the melodrama and theme of UtCM for quite some time, and hope to make it happen within a year or so. Great thread.

So...I was watching UTCM last night on my laptop. I was using my headphones so my wife could sleep and I heard something I never heard before.

Forgive me if this is old news, but the scene when Christopher is in the room with Mary's mom and Tricky goes to leave...the bodyguards show up and Tricky runs back. You see the bodyguards but you hear Isaac Sharon say...

"And then she said 'Isaac when we make love I have the strangest urge to call you Jesus.' And I said, 'Darling, sire will suffice'."

I damn near fell out of the bed laughing. Rewound it like 5 times just to make sure. Woke my wife up and tried to get her to listen (she was not amused).

How the hell did I miss that over the past 25 years?

With that said, I have never been able to sit through this movie. I tried very hard to let the DVD continue to play but lost the battle. The music was great but the movie......

There are many Prince song's that I did not like at first listen and grew to love...maybe the this movie will be the same.

I am glad to hear I am not the only one. As much as I like looking at Prince, I cannot sit through this movie either.
