10. Mia Bocca: Intro (Mary reappears)

Mia Bocca

I have only had one lover
Since I was 12 years old
So I don't care how hot U get me
I wouldn't do him cold
But there's somethin' about U, baby
That's got me koo koo
Would U hold it against me
If I said I loved another?
Tu vuole la mia bocca {U want my lips}
CHORUS:
Tu vuole la mia bocca
I love another
Tu vuole la mia bocca
Don't want no other

Something's happenin', I just can't explain it
U're doin' somethin' 2 me
My body's shakin', baby, shake, shake, shakin', baby
Shakin' like a leaf on a tree
I could never be unfaithful
Baby, I could never be
Boy, I got a feelin' that I ain't used 2 feelin'
I gotta do somethin'
Tu vuole la mia bocca

CHORUS

(I love a drama) {repeat in BG)
I'll pretend I'm in a movie
A make believe dream world caprice de la drama {... whimsical drama}
U can be a page in my diary
If U promise not 2 tell my mama

There's somethin' about U, baby
That's got me koo koo
I can't explain what's dancin' in my brain
We gotta do somethin'
Tu vuole la mia bocca

CHORUS

Sono caliente d' amore {I'm hot with love}
Il mio labio sono resbaloso {My lips are boiling hot}
Puoi toccare piano {U can touch softly}
Lo siento ma io voglio un altro {I'm sorry, but I love another one}

I love another! (CHORUS {x3})
I don't want no other! {x2}

Tu vuole la mia bocca
I love another

I'm going koo koo

Sono caliente d' amore
Il mio labio sono resbaloso
Puoi toccare piano
Lo siento ma io voglio un altro

Mia bocca

I thought she was stunning in this movie..I was reading from old posts folks thought she was plain. She is a good actress too...when she says to Prince "Take me back to the airport, now!" Her following exrpessions were very good, it was like "Did he take me seriously?"..

Oldfriends, are you taking pictures of your TV as you watch the movie?

Fantastic thread! Great info.

I bet it was tough for Prince doing such a grand opening for something that he knew was a piece of crap.

The fact that he cleaned house right afterwards wasn't unexpected, even if those who got let go had nothing to do with it's failure. He just wanted distance from all of it.

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

MTV & Warner Bros. World Premiere
Under the Cherry Moon movie premier 7.1.1986
Holiday Inn Sheridan Wyoming

prince med Lisa Barber

* * * * * PEOPLE WEEKLY/JULY 21, 1986
Prince Charming : His movie's a smash -- in Wyoming

First you win a contest, then you win friends. That's how it happened for Lisa Barber, 20, a Sheridan, Wyo. motel chambermaid who last month dialed an MTV contest number and, by being the 10,000th caller, won a date with Prince and the opportunity to have his much-hyped new movie, Under the Cherry Moon, premiered in her hometown. Barber, a veteran contest entrant who had never won more than "a couple of Big Macs and a curling iron," was ecstatic. So were her friends, many of whom she had never met. Moments after her name was announced, callers from California to the Carolinas began ringing up to ask for one or two or 10 of the 200 tickets she'd been allotted for Prince's frontier fandango. Her mother, Elena Holwegner, fielded the endless requests with humor, if not compromise. Ring! "No, Lisa's not here," she fibbed to one caller. "You say you're calling from Maine? Sorry." Ring! "You say you want to come over and take pictures of me doing housework? I've got a better idea. You come over and do housework, and I'll take pictures of you." Ring! "Sorry, no more tickets. What? You say you have six days to live? Well, sorry to break the news, honey, but you'll be long gone before Prince gets here. What? You say you can hold on an extra day? Well, I can't. Sorry!" Click. [continued]

I always loved how Lisa the winner of the contest got to attend the premiere with him, and was seated next 2 him for the moving showing, in her hometown. incredibly sweet love2

THE PRINCE INTERVIEW
Mr. Purple Discusses His Movies, His Music, His Musicians
And More, More, More.

By Michael Shore

Would you ever like to direct your own movie?

Yes, (very enthusiastically) yes, yes.

Speaking of movies, tell us as much as you can about Under The Cherry Moon.

Ooooh.

What's the plot, what kind of characters, what kind of music, how many songs, what can we expect?

It's a French film. It's a black-and-white French film, and ah, she's in it (girlish giggles can be heard). And her name's Emanuelle. [Emmanuelle Sallet]

Isnt this the same interview, when he answers a question with "Dont u like surprises? I guess not." r something like that, i always loved that he said that, n the look that went with it. I had craving a 4 all things UTCM i think u jus completed it, thanx n u r the BEST at this hug

What did you type in the view that one?

Watching a few traileers... wow it was exciting, it could almost be misleading, because 4 some reason with all the dancing the G&B playing I'm expecting some band action.

I love the trailer,

1. Under the Cherry Moon Outro - Piano Instrumental [Intro Voice over]
2. An Honest Man - Piano Instrumental [Titles]

An Honest Man

I want 2 be an honest man
I'll be your slave, just understand
How much I need U
And if I died
We'll be 2gether side by side

With U I know I can stand, stand
With U I can be an honest man

Once upon a time in France

there lived a bad boy name Christopher Tracey

Only 1 thing mattered 2 Christopher... money

the women he knew came in all sizes shapes & colors

and they were all rich, very rich

Private concertos kind words & fun is what he had 2 offer them

yes Christopher lived 4 all women

but he died 4 1

Somewhere along the way he learned the true meaning of love

paste in UTube search:Under The Cherry Moon [An Honest Man]

So really what was missing was a good story, better acting, more excitement and a better director. Pretty much most of the things that go into making a good movie. As much as I like Prince, UTCM is a terrible movie. Self indulgent, boring, poorly acted, terribly written, awkwardly directed... just not a good one.

ok U made me laugh.

But yeah I think you can see parts of the story line that were originally good, from the original director, but when Prince's (fired her...) he changed the script and the original concept was seriously lost.

Where Prince messed up was taking Morris Day & Jerome and replacing Morris with himself.

The drastic change in 'character' was a bit too much. Most Prince fans didn't know that Prince, they knew Morris. The acting over all was good outside of Prince.

the 'more excitement' would have been band performances.

Again. I loved the Opening movie scene, I thought it was really good,

the whole movie is completely bizarre, but it is what it is. i see it as modern art & something not too serious..prince ideas & interpretation is just a jumble of fantasy.

i actually see this movie as an extravagant video 4 parade.

if i wasn't a fan it doesn't matter how different it might have been it would have made no more of an impact, but i understand it just the way it is

That's cool. Everyone can see it differently. I just thought most of the acting was bad... including Kristen Scott Thomas, Steven Berkoff, Emmanuelle Sallet and almost everyone else. It was just a stinker! I respect what he tried but sometimes when you overextend yourself, you fall on your face and he did. He knew it was a failure and has basically said so many times. That said, I bought the DVD, so what do I know? lol
