Diddy "isn't Prince's kind of guy,"says the source. "He's a lot of flash and dash, and very bragadocious. Prince, believe it or not, is real down to earth. He isn't about all that flossing."
Prince is the fancy lesbian....he's all about flossing. (and music) Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I think it's more like "real music by real musicians." If Prince can shun Bruce Springsteen and Slash, he's not gonna fall all over himself for...this guy. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

Diddy is arrogant and had shady things in his life. He uses other muscicians to his financial benefit and then gets rid of them. I'm surprised that Diddy is still walking alive. But soon or later some1 from show business will shot him dead, IMO.

You're right about that. Anyone from NYC can tell you stories about that guy.
It all began here:

And that's only the stuff people *know* about. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

But yet at the bottom of the article, it states: "With the velvet rope between them, he gave the pocket funkster a handshake and a hug." If they hugged and shook hands, what was so cold about that? So once again....speculation->gossip.
Here's the entire article.

Much ado about nothing. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Errr-ummm-ahem. That ain't nothing new for our boy Prince's behavior! If he's trying to romance the latest ingenue that he is smitten with...well, damn! that's nobody's business... Right? Right...? I really don't give a damn except for the news that he is in California where my local radio station and reportedly Renato says he's gonna perform next! Ye--eee-ssss! The other thread got locked before I could reply to you. I realized the article was about Diddy, but it's really a non-story. The interesting part to me was that Misty was with him, in a coordinated outfit and we know what that means.

Don't let your children watch television before they know how to read. Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

No actually I don't know what that means, since his personal life is none of my business. No disrespect, but if that's an interest to you, well, to each their own I guess. [Edited 2/11/11 8:58am]

Well, it says he did acknowledge him and shake hands. He just didn't invite him to crash his table... but more importantly... Prince really is involved with Misty Copeland? My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I agree. It's a slow news day I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

i know it's rude and wrong but I sure do get a kick when P shows he's still got his arrogant side with other celebs and musicians. He's just C.O.O.L.

Nevermind that. What I love is the pure pimping my man is doing. Bria was at the 12/18 show (not sure if she was at the others) and now he's got Misty practically sitting on his lap. PIMPIN'! It ain't easy but someone's gotta do it. Prince esta muerto...

Well, his personal life is reflected in his music, so in that way it is relevant. Maybe she'll be a muse for some beautiful music or maybe we'll be lucky enough to have an ABT/Prince production like the Joffrey Ballet.

Prince gives Diddy the cold shoulder at Essence's Black Women in Music eventFriday, February 11th 2011, 4:00 AM Pizzello/AP
Diddy gets a kiss from singer Janelle Monae.Nothing compares 2 the shade that Prince gave Sean (Diddy) Combs at Essence's Black Women in Music event in Los Angeles Wednesday night. Put it this way: If Prince were running a nightclub, Diddy wouldn't get past the velvet ropes. Both men were on hand to salute Grammy-nominated artist Janelle Monae, who was guest of honor at the event at the Playhouse Hollywood nightclub. Monae records for Diddy's Bad Boy record label, and she performed as an opening act for one of Prince's recent "Welcome 2 America"shows at Madison Square Garden. According to a source at the Essence soiree, Prince and Diddy were installed at adjacent booths at the Hollywood Blvd. nightclub. Diddy, who co-hosted the event, had the larger booth and sat with a group that included Grammy-nominated heartthrob Bruno Mars. Next door, the privacy-loving Prince had custom decorated his VIP perch with a velvet rope and four security guards to keep unwanted guests from bothering him or his date for the night, American Ballet Theater dancer Misty Copeland. The dark-haired hottie, who twirled to his "The Beautiful Ones"onstage at the Garden, was dressed, like Prince, in a cream-colored ensemble. During Monae's performance, both men stood, says our source, and that's when Diddy, who looked sharp in a black suit, tie and patent leather shoes, approached Prince. With the velvet rope between them, he gave the pocket funkster a handshake and a hug. That's as warm as things got, however. Our insider tells us, "You could see that Diddy wanted to hang out, but Prince was very cold. He didn't have his security take down the velvet rope,"so that Diddy could pass into the inner sanctum and join him. Eventually, our source adds, Diddy returned to his table and "his Ciroc,"a reference to the brand of vodka that the hip-hop tycoon shills. Prince's camp declined to comment for this story, so it's unclear why the fuchsia-loving funkster gave Diddy the cold shoulder. According to one music-industry insider, though, Diddy "isn't Prince's kind of guy,"says the source. "He's a lot of flash and dash, and very bragadocious. Prince, believe it or not, is real down to earth. He isn't about all that flossing." Despite Prince's outrageous fashion and lyrics, the pomp and precision of his Garden gigs show that like James Brown before him, he is one of the hardest-working men in showbiz. Combs works hard too, though mostly at self-promotion. Diddy's spokeswoman responded: "There is absolutely no truth to this,"added that the two men "greeted each other.”
