In Le New Morning in Paris, doesn't he sing "I love u baby, but you don't trust me anymore .." Honestly, I think that's a more accurate reflection of what has happened ... both of them lost trust (not just him) in each other | |

I believe that song was for Mayte but with Prince who knows, he pulls music out that was made a long time ago, but maybe it was sung for the occassion. | |

That song, and entire album for that matter, is OBVIOUSLY about Mayte, especially if you are the least bit familiar with some of the things rumored to be going on at the time. And watch a couple of his interviews around that time and after, and you can see things clearly. Poor Prince, he is always full of emotion when singing that song.. Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol | |

What did Mayte ever do that made Prince not want to trust her??? I don't specialize on info 2 much in this era, so I'm confused. Thought their marriage was happy-go-lucky besides the obvious incident in 96. Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! Rumor has it she cheated on him...a couple different names have been thrown out there as to who it was with. Is that true or not? Maybe, maybe not...Only Prince and Mayte, and possible other guy know the truth, but this song sure makes one believe the story is true. Something to think about it. Not that it matters now, but the entire Rave album makes you think! From this album, I'd say this was a hurt man who was very much in love but got his heartbroken. Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired.
