Those people just dont have any taste, and they dont have anything better to then sit around in there mom's basement, and insult other people because they r jealous and really dont like themselves!

I'm gonna guess all those people are under the age of 18 and don't realize how big of an impact Prince had on music today. Plus you know their under 18 cause they say Prince is a "girl" (basically calling him gay). Obviously they've heard none of his music because a big majority of his music is about girls. And the one about "The 80s produced the worst music and the worst "entertainers" ever." makes me sick, the 80's WAS and ALWAYS WILL BE the best music, I'm 16 and i understand that. So many great artists came out of the 80's that are millions of times better than anyone today.

I couldn't agree more. Plus i always have to hear that "Prince is gay" whenever i talk about him. Obviously hes not gay and i hate having to hear about it. Well, at least we know who the REAL good artists are. We now live in a society that loves auto-tuned and other terrible music i guess.

i know, whenever someone tells me that they think he is gay i just tell them that he has been married twice to a WOMAN, and in every single one of his movies u will see him kissing a girl.....or doing OTHER THINGS with a girl.

a lot of it is just being young and not very wise.....i used to dismiss bob dylan when i was a teenager....i saw him on the 'we are the world' recording and i just thought...this old guy is terrible...cant sing to save himself.. ... as i have gotten older....my thoughts on dylan have changed to the degree that i just bought myself a box set of his entire career....he is one of the greats....yes ...he was never a great singer but he IS a great artist and now i know that....you will probably find that they will view prince differently as they get older and wiser...

I'm surprised that, so far, no "orger/fan" has said that the yahoo guys are right and everything that they written is true...

Take into account he was 23 when he recorded "Another Side of Bob Dylan, 25 when he did "Blonde on Blonde" and everything he did in between. He easily could've done a JD Salinger recluse and never recorded another note, and just collect the money from all the covers he wrote in that timeframe. I don't think he slept until the bike accident (no one's really sure if he intentionally wiped out to get out of touring or he was suicidal at the time, nor will he ever discuss it) and the move to Woodstock.

Dylan was a gamechanger for rock music. The one day in Newport that he decided to go electric, changed the rock genre instantly. It's like talking about when people stopped talking about rap as a fad and started taking it seriously as an art form.

I'm pretty sure back in the 80s, Dylan would've considered recording at Paisley Park. He was looking to do different things, and was kind of adrift at the time. But I would've loved to have had the two of them work together, even if it was just one or two songs.

He's also had a list of girlfriends a mile long, rumored to have 2-3 at a time, and there are no stories about him being gay or being with a man...folks need to shut up with their stereotypes about this amazing man. But hey, Prince is strong and confident, those losers talking negative about him are all too ignorant to comprehend Prince's music and what he represents. Stupid people have been blind for centuries about the greatness of some "amazing men.."

At this point it simply comes down to respect and paying your dues. You may not like Prince, Madonna, etc. but as it stands today they're the only real legends of Pop music we have. After MJ passed away I live in fear of other legends who changed the music industry passing away, and again as it stands today - there's nobody here who can step up.

It also grosses me out because the minute Prince is pronounced dead (God forbid, may he live for another 100 years), all of the people who laughed, pointed, made mean jokes, and trashed him in print and onTV will start freaking out about how much they loved him and how he was the best man ever. The same thing that happened when Michael died. Suddenly everybody was a fan and wore gloves to lunch and cried in their salads.
