Is it possible that this DVD is not actually the concert, but the music in DVD format? I know there are a couple of these already out there, and it made me wonder because when looking at bestbuy, it called it a "Music DVD", and under Genre, it was labeled as "Sound".

Could this be what this DVD is?

I sure hope it's the concert film, but now I'm beginning to doubt it. Plus, Cineplex, not Warner had the film distribution rights to SOTT, so it would make sense that they would be the distributors, not WEA.

I would still be excited, but I highly doubt SOTT is being remastered for DVD Audio release at this point.

SOTT is NOT going to be a DVD-Audio (DVD-A).

Just take a look at other dvd-a's listed on the best buy site and you'll see the difference in catergories and the actual use of DVD-A instead DVD as is listed next to the SOTT title.

Even if Warner were to release a Prince DVD-A it would most surely be Purple Rain as this would sell the most to the general public.

Did you all catch that this is the same DVD that was released in Brazil? It's like a copy of the VHS at best, no better in quality.

Sorry sax but I gotta differ. This item wouldn't be available through the likes of Amazon if it was a pirate. Its listed as a WEA release. Guess we'll all know for sure Feb 12 when its suppossed to be shipped. I hope it is real!

Didnt Prince sign some type of deal with Sony back in the summer concerning Video/DVD releases ?

Maybe some sites have 'assumed' WEA are the distributors cuz Prince was with Warner who basically own WEA and distribute all video thru...maybe Phantom is the correct one!

We really need someone on the inside - a Wal Mart worker or sumthin with access to DVD release schedules!!!
