hmm, i guess lots of people do that everyday, say they believe one thing and do another. i can think of a few.

maybe big chick is more than just a bodyguard, maybe he's a BIG CONSCIENCE as well.

And about the bodyguards, I had actually been wondering the same thing because in photos that were taken of Prince this year, off stage, I have not seen one where someone was with him who would look like a bodyguard!

There was also another incident at the 3121 Club, in the Rio Hotel, in Las Vegas in 2007, during the opening weekend of the 3121 Club. There was this girl who got up on stage, while Prince was singing, and she just walked up and put her arms around him. Everyone was stunned, and asking "Where are Prince's bodyguards?" No bodyguard was close enough to get this girl off of Prince.

Prince tried being nice, and removing her arms from around him, but she put her arms back around him. You could tell he was getting pissed off, but trying to remain cool at the same time, but then he turned around and looked at her and said, "Don't you have some kids at home?" Then finally, his bodguard made it up on stage, and pulled and lifted that crazy girl off Prince, and carried her ass off the stage. Not sure if they threw her out after that, but it was kind of scary how she just walked across the stage towards Prince, and no one stopped her in time.

Well, incidents like that could very easily happen nowadays when Prince has all that people on stage dancing! As far as I have read in various threads about concerts, there were at least two girls this year who managed to kiss Prince while they were on stage with him. Okay, that is harmless but the thought of what else could be done to him ... and I don't mean girls who would touch him or whatever ... it IS a bit scary when you think about it. And I am actually surprised that Prince does not seem to worry about his safety, he just wants people to have a good time.

Yes he does and they're not the nicest cats I've ever met either. I attempted to say 'What's up' to two of em on lunch one day during the 3121 Las Vegas stint and they both looked at me like I was a leper or somethin'. Perhaps because they were eating lunch and didn't want to be bothered but, they do have a SERIOUS job where they have to be 'on point' when doing their job.

Yes, but his body guards now arent as obvious looking like chick was. I mean he looked like a body guard. Now you cant really tell from his body guards from just an entourage. Which can be qualified as body guards as well.

Yes, Shelby is his bodyguard now.

Yeah, I had one join me at my table during an aftershow. I was sitting by myself and he asked if he could sit down and join me. He was not very friendly at first but once he got some food into him he was totally cool. It was understandable, I know people that you do not want to mess with when they are hungry. It was pretty cool when Prince walked into the room and the bodyguard was about to get up to walk with him and Prince looked over and gestured to him to just continue eating. I spoke with the same bodyguard at a show in LA and he is one cool cat. He is from the Bay Area like I am.

I can't believe there is a thread about does Prince still have bodyguards. When back in the day he was known for having bodyguards. Prince always have bodyguards around him. Its just that they don't look like bodyguards. They look like regular people. When u carry yourself like someone is going to hurt U they will. Like MJ he was petrified in public if he was approachable it would be different... If U seen Prince as much as I have. U do notice more & recognize who is who around him...
