I've already posted the list two posts up. I feel like people who want to be surprised or hear the list on their own should go no further until they listen. I'm ready to start talking about and debating some of the songs on the list.

All right, I've waited long enough.

Gett Off at No. 1?!?! WTF? It's a great song; I love it. But No. 1?

Insatiable? Again, good song, but what the hell? My Name Is Prince? Seriously? For real?

No Joy in Repetition, The Question of U, Somebody's Somebody, Right Back Here in My Arms, 7, Come? Nothing off The Truth?

This is ponderous, man. Really ponderous.

I agree Efan. I love Gett Off, but the #1 spot surprised me as well. What can you say about the forgotten 90's classics like JIR and TQOU? shrug Btw, it was pretty thoughtful for you to post the list the way you did imo. I don't think the Peach & Black crew would mind.

Somebody's Somebody, 7, Joy in repition, And God Created Woman, Blue light IMO should be there. My name is prince and P control? Enjoyable but not fantastic or anything. Endorphinmachine should be higher, top 10 IMO, its brilliant. Still it was an interesting show. Glad to see more appreciation for his 90's work nontheless

Technically the "number 1" song of the 90's is really "number 3" (and 30th overall)

The first top 20 show revealed the top 2 songs (which were JIR and TQOU), but as we said in that first show, those 2 songs were on the tail end of the 80's. We weren't going to re-hash those tracks twice in both lists, so this top 20 just gives you a rough idea of what made it after those initial 2.

We had to then select and seperate the top 20 of all the 90's songs from all the other tracks (from the 70's, 80's & 00's) and compile them into an order to come up with a list. The songs on this list range from number 20 (#108 overall) to number 1 (#30 overall) from the 90's

Some choices for the list were up for debate, for example, we excluded NC2U because it was first written and recorded in the 80's, and the released version is a live version (and we said while voting to consider only studio versions so everyone is on the same page), so that got taken out, however give or take 1 or 2 tracks, it gives you a "rough guide" as to where the 90's stuff sits with the fans. Most of us on the P&B podcast didn't like some of the choices and rankings either (you might pick that up listening to the show), but it is what it is and interesting otherwise

Yeah...and overall, If you haven't worked it out from how I've explained it from above, nothing from Emanicipation cracked the Top 100 (overall list). A crime, yes I know, but it's all the other tracks (from the 70's, 80's 90's and 00's, etc) that edged those sort of tracks out

JIR and TQOU were included in the top 20 best Prince songs ever, go and listen to that show smile

Some of my favourites made it and some real head-scratchers as well.

Last show of the year NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Insatiable should be #1 or #2. Cause Somebody's Somebody should be on that list very high up!! I love Gett Off and think it should definately be in the top 5!!! Eye Hate U and Thieves in the Temple should definately be in the top 5/6 also. I do would also have liked to see P Control higher on the list, maybe top 10, that song rocks!! And I'm quite disappointed not to see Baby Knows and Let's Have a Baby aren't on that list! The only song I'd take off this list is Dolphin, replace it with Blue Light at #5 or #6 and I'm good!! wink Anyway, cool list!! Glad to see Endorphinemachine on it!

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Thanks guys, another great podcast - and a surprising list!

Didn't quite understand you at the end though: Are you taking a break for a while? Or are you just resting up for what's left of 2010?

Good idea of posting the list Efan, thanks.

Actually, in black and white, I see only 6 of those I would have voted for.

I wouldn't mind seeing the full 100 list too. I've forgotten them now.

As far as I can gather, somethings cooking from P&B for 2011. cool

yeah it is a surprise 7 isn't on the list eek

people like the bad Prince !
