oh yes! so much stuff at the mall today reminded me of prince! alot of assymetrical hems,ruffles,lace , paisley prints and purple! i was in joy! thought i died and was reborn in prince's closet!

i saw jacket blazers that definitely looked like princes in jcpenney. 200 bux! i'm broke. i need $ for the tickets!! that link as ones in neiman marcus!

i gotta take pictures of my white lace leggings from H&M and interesting shaped hemmed black lace tank top from hot topic that i couldn't pass up.

the white lace leggings are a bit transparent so all the colors of my tattoos show thru alittle. looks insane!! luckly if i get a thong i don't have any tattoos on my butt.

i lost count of all the lace button down tops/jackets i saw. i couldn't find shit when i needed one for my friends wedding. i made do and rehemmed one myself long in front and short in back like under a cherry moon....

i often say i was born in the wrong era and never felt i belong but finally fashion is what i like now. about time the early 80's style is back in! i swear even all those preppy stores have this stuff.i wandered in charalotte russe today because of a awesome military herringbone coat and lace! i used to shop only in hot topic for different unique clothes. now i can go to macy's,jc penneys,sears,TJmaxx,burlington coat factory,delia's,debb....

still yet to walk in a wet seal?! does that store have this stuff too?

if u dress a certain way eventually it will be kool and in! why am i not in high school now??

** oh back then i liked my flannel. look how all these damn flannels are in now to cause of bella and twilight...roll those sleeves up girl!

Jon is very talented and has worked off an on for Prince over the years. I had the privalage to own a few of his custom suits (before he work for Prince) and in the Minneapolis are Jon was the best there was! Look at many of the mid 90's clothes Prince wore. I would say more than 60% of those Jon was responsible for.

I think he may have passed away. Did he have really long hair back then?

How much was it?

Well in middle 90's BEFORE Jon worked for Prince $500 to $700. That was his friend price. After working for Prince his rates went up. I think he was looking at $1000 to $1500.

But they were well worth it. Many people in tow wore his suits. Of course thats when suits were in. But he had some funky styles. You know, I wish I would have taken some photos with those suits. What the hell was I thinking. Maybe somone out there has some.

One outfit that I absolutely loved wasn't Prince's but I'm assuming was done by his clothing team: The suit Sheila wore on the cover of Romance 1600. I love the design of that album and sleeve--the blues and flowers and the butterflies. Love how the suit she was wearing tied in with the overall design.

The costuming from this project and Parade/UTCM were among my favorites, too. Those clothes really helped establish a thematic mood without P having to resort to full-on concept albums.

It sure seems like he doesn't have as many clothes....I would never see him in the same outfit twice (unless he really liked it). Now it seems like I see him in the same stuff all the time.
