As I logged onto the Org...

Just as I logged onto the Org, the radio station I'm listening to started to play Rasberry Beret.

Do any stations where you live play prince music frequently? This station plays Little Red Corvette also sometimes... although they edit more than half the song out...

Except for a rare "All 80s Weekend" on the Soft Rock channel, all we get of Princey on our TLC R&B station is

Sign O' the Times

Adore (heavy circulation)

Kiss

Mainly songs from the Sign O the Times album. On rare occassions we get 'I Would Die 4 U'. 'Purple Rain' was another station.

Just a little bit over here

Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! biggrin In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

Internet network shuffle at work usually plays:

WDC

LGC

Kiss

1999

U Got The Look

Raspberry Beret

IWBYL

Alphabet Street

When the Classic Soul/R&B channel

is on we also get:

Letitgo! omfg

and

In Love faint

On an "independent" channel I've heard:

Black Sweat headbang

Get On The Boat eek

and

The Word! faint

The Glamorous Life comes up a lot, I've heard

A Love Bizarre as well.

I've also heard someone do a decent cover of

Crazy You a few times, but I don't know who it is.

I was outside a cafe in the middle of Manchester yesterday, the sun was shining on what could possibly be the last warm day we have this year in England... And suddely from nowhere, a one man band walked up, set up his stuff and belted out the most bizarre rendition of When Doves Cry it has ever been my misfortune to hear.

And yes, I have heard the Ginuine version.

blah blah blah

I was in Manchester too but I missed that!

To be honest I rarely hear Prince on the radio anymore...

lol

There's always something worse, that's what keeps me going... Sure, Ginuine's version of WDC is godawful, but it's no Gayle & Gillian's I Wanna Be Your Lover!

The other day for some reason I decided to listen to Mariah Carey and Dru Hill cover of The Beautiful Ones. My ears are still bleeding.
