Gotta disagree on this one. Believe it or not VIDEOS, are a loss in finance. Record companies in the past use to write off video expenses as promotional expenses. (Which they where, promotional tools.) However as of late. Record companies have realized that spending money on videos doesn't mean people are going to buy records. So they have thrown this expense at the Artist. (thats right, Kanye is spending HIS OWN money making that video... IE dumbass) To go with this recent trend, MTV has stopped playing music videos on a regular basis, because of a loss in viewership.

So to correct you.

Everyone is NOT video obsessed, Prince has been ahead for years...

His last few outputs have been uninspiring, and it leads me to conclude that he's completely lost it.

I thought that perhaps he was upset about internet piracy, and was holding onto his "gems" until something can be figured out, but why release anything if that's the case?

Outside of live shows, i personally think Prince is done! Stick a fork in him, folks stoned

Here we go again, the prince.org last few outputs in terms of threads have been uninspiring but hey lets just keep repeating the same boring questions....

lol

Is Prince Gay

Prince has no money

Princes music post 1980's is rubbish...

That is correct. Some videos by currently hot artists might get millions of hits on YouTube but they ain't paying nobody's bills. The whole music video media got watered down when EVERY single got a video, even by bands who only faux-play the song or by female artist who don't do anything than lie down and look nicely in the camera. People stopped watching them on tv and MTV itself moved on and is scoring high with reality shows now.

Not everyone, I cannot tell you the last time I watch a music video. It just isn't my thing anymore but, if P did put out something and somehow the admiring community 'did' find out about it, I'd want a download of it and see it too ...

Peace ... & Stay Funky ...
