Which Prince song has alot of empty space???

I know there is one or two....dead silence.

My wife needs silence in between songs...(I know what it sounds like, but it's for a pause for my daughters dance group).

Anyways, can't remember which song it is....

Wasn't it a tribute to someone?

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Found it.....Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do....thanks a bunch for steering me in the right direction....is that track 4?

Now, why is it there? Some sort of tribute?

The "silent" track on the Rave album is a tribute to Miles Davis the jazz trumpeter.

If you're looking to add silence in between songs for a medley, your best bet is to use a free audio editing program like Audacity.

You can insert one mp3, scroll to the end of the waveform (the blue thing that is a visual representation of the audio), go to Insert or Generate -> Silence. I'm pretty sure you can specify how long you want the silence to be etc. Much more accurate than trying to rip a couple seconds of silence from a Prince song.

After you insert silence at the end of the waveform, scroll to the end of it and Insert the other mp3.

Hope that makes sense.

Track 4 on Rave was originally going to be Miles Davis saying Prince, as heard in the Intro of Can I Play With U.

Try to imagine what silence looks like...
