twice. On a flight from Hawaii to MPLS - he was with Mayte in First Class NWA flight. 2nd, Celebration 2000 for about 2 1/2 hours filmed by Kevin Smith. Both were great. Got to hear the Rainbow Children album and discuss it and spirituality, etc...

Itake that back , the one and only time when i saw Prince and could actually talked to him was in 1981 0r 82. what ever year he was at the Santa Monica Civic, anyways. I saw him. in a clothing store on Melrose . in LA , after school. Me and my friend were shoppin , and we heard some heels on the hard wood floor to my right. I looked at her first and she just shuck he head yes. I went to him and asked. ARE U PRINCE, HE ANSWERED NO . I told him yes u are i have 23 pictures of u and 2 posters. he told me he was not Prince. I went back to my friend and told her what he had said., we continued shoppin. Before he left the store, he said BYE SEE U AT MY CONCERT!!!.He and Morris Day got into a gold trans am and drove of, me and my friend were sreamin. That is just one of the times i have been that close , ALOT. But i cant talk around him, i have to work on that

I was one of the 5 lucky orgers who spoke to Prince at a club after a London One Nite Alone concert!

Basically we were sent into some back room by an official woman who maybe thought we were staff or special members as we had our NPGMC lamyards on, everyone else went into the dance floor area. There were a few couchs here and about 10 other people.

A security guard asked us to move from the couch as Prince was going to sit there!!

So we didn't move far, just to the opposite one!

And so in walked P and sat down all on his own (very surprised he was on his own!) He must have been about 10 feet away.

I looked at him a bit but not too much as I thought he wouldn't want people staring!

Then he suddenly came over to us and asked "hey fellas, where are your women?"

The reason why he asked was he was unsure that there were these guys sitting around and no women it might have been a gay club! We all laughed.

He then chatted to a guy in our group from Holland about bootlegging (couldn't hear what he was saying as the music was loud), but he seemed to relate it to him stealing the man's jacket and then selling it.

I really wanted to speak to him but I was very nervous and in awe, so then I asked him "how can you sleep for so little" (I've always wanted to know, and it WAS 2am!) to which he replied "U sleep when u die."

I answered "and live tired" to which he said very seriously "I never get tired."

He then went to the dance room with about 6 bodyguards who seemed to come out of nowhere, and spoke brielfy to the crowd in there.

p.s: one of the best parts was, as it was loud, he had to lean forward to hear me so I spoke in his ear. So I have litterly seen Prince from a couple of inches away!

I can't be bothered to repost my story again.

But basically I was in the right place, right time, at the Indigo2. 14th August afterparty in 2007 and as I was standing alone, next to a door, in the back of club, when literally everybody else was at the other end of the club, still in front of the stage, thinking he might come back out...... the man himself walked out of the door I was standing by, and stood right next to me. I couldn't believe it.

The briefest of exchanges, like thedance's story. But extremely memorable.

The man has a powerful aura.

OMG!! I'm SO jealous of you.. Being that close to him!! I would have died!! LOL that is literally a dream come true!! I would have managed to say more...maybe! i helped organise that afterparty, last minute as another venue who promised to hold an afterparty changed their mind last minute as fans were standing outside. just imagine going to a club with a member of prince's security and asking if you can have the place that night for a party for prince, and as you know, he turned up himself

I've told the story a couple of times on here before but I'll just say this he was very sweet and kind. Not stuck up and strange like alot have accused him of. Was one of the greatest moments of my life and I'll never forget it. After he left I "borrowed" the straw out of his water. I still have it in my scrap book

i have to say that meeting prince was indeed one of the highlights of my life.he is very nice.and has a nice since of humor.it is something i will never forget ,i will keep it near to my heart.
