Wow, that's pretty off...

I think nobody should blame the girls for anything. Instead we all should praise them forever for being the most important musical influence on Prince EVER.

lmao, no

OK, more precise: most important of those who he worked with. As in those who left their marks on his music, etc.

I still disagree. The Revolution was together for 3 years. Prince has been in the business for 32.

I blame Wendy and Lisas arty influence on the under-achieving albums ATWIAD and Parade! they got him into 60s hippy music and he gave up on his new wave/rock sound neutral

Exactly! Lisa was fine when it was just her but when Wendy came along, that's when the change started.

I would argue that Sheila fills that role (which in no way is meant to diminish how awesome and brilliant W&L are and the huge impact they had on him).

Regardless, I'm pretty sure I'm nearly alone on this. Oh, well.

Andre and Dez were the most important. They kept him the most horny. And after looking at them, I can see why. lol

Vainandy, you're talking shit as usual. Gay coquetry... How low can you go? neutral

Back to topic: Sheila of course was important too. But I'd say she was important more as a person than as an artist, she didn't form him musically - he formed her. The girls on the other hand had a huge impact on where that whole "Prince" thang was going in the mid 80s. But we all should know how much the important records in the 80s owed to W&L. Whoever is questioning that deserves to be put in a drunk tank for 24 hours, together with Vainandy. lol

It was mostly Wendys fault then!

Your opinion on the video itself is irrelevant. The statement was that there was no official video. Obviously there is. The content was not in question, the existence was.

No, it's entirely relevant whether or not Prince appears in the promo video. Hence there being 2 "Money Don't Matter 2night" videos.

I understand, but the initial post stated that there was "no video for SOTT" instead of "not appearing in a promotional video".

Potaytoes, potatoes, i know ... but that clip was an official video-release. It's not uncommon that artists released similar kinda clips before or after that video.
