I was already a fan when he COULD, so yes, I would still be a fan, but I would feel bad for him not being able to play any instruments anymore. I would also wonder why he was no longer able to play. Oh, you mean ever? Probably not. He is the chef, and you know what they say about too many chefs in the kitchen.

I'm just saying...

Not a fan. A friend. But um...yeah.

Shit...his music is off the chain/best damn shit I ever heard. His live performances are the bomb. His vocals are heavenly. Don't give a fuck bout whether he plays instruments but it sure is nice that he does.

I don't think I'd be as big of a fan. Prince is definitely a musical genius that encompasses a lot of different aspects of music that I appreciate. Even though I have a backround as a musician and music, i don't consider myself one now. He's very much a talented song writer and singer, but a lot of the song writing surrounds the different instruments and sounds inwhich he layers in his music. The popping bass in one of the original versions of Come or If I Was Your Girlfriend, the fantastic guitar work/solos in Dolphin, Endorphinemachine, Bambi and on the Undertaker disc, the fantastic drumming on Crystal Ball (the song), Sexual Suicide and on the Madhouse albums. The riffs and again layers he creates bring whole new fantastic dimensions to an already talented dancer, singer, front man and performer.

That's one thing that impressed me the most about Prince. That was the draw for me, that all familiar:

Produced, Arranged & Composed by Prince had me go: 'who is this cat' [img:$uid]http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/39.gif[/img:$uid]

... to answer your question: Yes
