I think he was aiming the song at Prince Fans Unite and the whole YT copyright infringement thing. Guess he got ticked that some fans didn't get what he meant, though he probably wasn't initially clear on it (many were outraged when he ordered a homemade video of a baby singing to a Prince song to be deleted, or at least that's what we're led to believe). Well I think the arrogance of Prince is because while it seems kinda arrogant it was also infectious. I have to admit it cut a little long. "Ol' Skool Company" kinda tried to mimic "PFUnk" (or "F.U.N.K.").

See? Exactly! He's sooo damn arrogant, it's insane. Fans were pissed, he was threating legal action left and right, then drops this song like eff you, and had folks bobbing their heads. You hate him but you love him. He's a mess like that. He's got the goods to back it up and I'm sure he knows that. That skinny muthafukka with the high voice. He ain't right.

Yeah just them. Not the rest of us who were kinda like "wtf" but said "good song Prince". I was one of those "good song Prince" guys. I remembered talking with someone at another board about it but we came to the conclusion that no matter what we'd always loved the little purple rascal.
