Hmm I just fixed the order, Lavaux's actually track 6 while Act of God's track 5.

good tune. nothing earth shattering. but love the retro feel to it. lyrics are a bit weird since they

talk about home being anything but nice and france/portugal being so much better. only to then

reference new york as a cool place. and then "whatever road i take will lead me home" which

leaves you wondering, where exactly is home then?

anyway, nice album track but not my favorit on the album.

Another winner.... love this joint. Yes I hear a little Pointer Sisters... but also some El Debarge... and some early Prince. Infact maybe some later Prince too.... Bed I Scream?

The lyrics are good too... not clumbsy!!! They flow the guitar noodlings are tight as are the key boards

I also like his vocal... very strong. Very nice ending .... this joint is tight!

Its okay, Once the synths dropped on the my first listen I knew it was on.

Anything that takes it back to the classic mplsound in any way will catch my attention, I wish more of his songs were synthed out jams like this.

It really makes me disappointed with Jesse Johnson for abandoning the old school sound, it can still sound fresh as Prince has shown us.

I agree! I like the synths on here. I think Jesse should have embraced it. The Linn Drums on here is cool and the guitar on here is funky. The return of the chicken grease. I love this song, it's 1982 with the 2010 twist.

....looks like his latest (lotus)flower is blossoming....with time, we will open it further and see deeper inside. Ain't that what his classics do? Still yet to hear any of it anyway, holding off till tomorrow!

I've listened to this track atleast 50 times now.

I dont want to wear it out but I always get lost in the groove at the end and it ends before I can fully enjoy it so I have 2 play it again!

Yep, I'm feelin' the same way. This song could do with a good 7 minutes of groovin' with a little Sexy Dancer type solo work (bass guitar, guitar and some keyboard). I won't be mad ... LoL

re: Act Of God & Lavaux...

in the "official" tracklist that's been posted, aren't these titles reversed. the version of the leak I got had the 2 tracks mis-named (Act of God was listed as Lavaux and vice versa), the track numbers reflected a mis-naming in that is sounds like Lavaux segues (slightly) out of Act Of God. I haven't listened to it in reverse, but is sounds natural the way I'm listening.

anyone?

I was wondering about that too, but I flipped them back to the officialy posted order (Lavaux) first, and it sounds right to me that way. I dunno.

This may be my fave on the album so far.
