This should have been a single.
"So Far,So Pleased" should have been the first single,and "Baby Knows" should have been the second single.What's wrong with Clive Davis?! Both of these tunes had "Pop hit" written all over them! | |

i remember in the Rave dvd, he asked something like:
"y'all want another new 1" with this doubtful tone, and when he started playing Baby Knows, his whole face lit up with glee  | |

You can play whatever song you want live, and not have the original artist try to come after you for it. Prince relied 99% on other people's music in the mid 90's until his slave days were over, and he still covers people in concert. Every time. How dare he try to limit Maceo, or anything, from covering his music live. What a douche. | |

Yeah, it made me a little a sad when Maceo said that at his concert many years ago, since I had quietly hoped he would play an instrumental version of 'the greatest romance ever sold', since he had recorded it so very very nicely.... He said then : "As some of you may know....I have played with Prince...." & then the crowd got really cheerful at once .. " but there is only one song he allows me to play when we go on tour, & thats..." then the band started Baby knows... Then he played it again recently, I attended another concert where he didn't play it, but then he did the Shakespeare monolog Hamlet (the Prince of Denmark) .... & the sax....
