Uh, Prince and 'care' in the same sentence don't work, unless you're talking about haircare. He'll roll over you behind that conk he got.

Some really odd questions come up here a lot. I'm happy with the attention and care Prince puts into his music and performances and I'd be delighted if he would apply the same standards across the board but when you say caring about "us" do you mean fans or humans in general?

I guess I've heard stranger questions but not lately... lol

I don't give a toss if he would personally hate me or otherwise. The point is, I have enjoyed his lyrics which sometimes are a help, that's the bottom line. I How could I forget that? Has no-one heard of Balaam's Donkey, lol?

God All Migh Ty. The amount of money I have spent on Prince albums etc. is nothing compared to what I have got back from him through his music and lyrics. What did Oscar Wilde call a cynic/critic? Someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing? Still, moving on, living and let live, lol.

Prince can dispose of me as much as he wants. The point, as Oliver Reed kept saying, keeps being missed and missed. Should we do a Star Sailor: "[We] should just let it go (letitigo), 'til they learn how to grow. AND HOW TO LIBERATE".

Prince's lyrics and music have often been a joy to me, and educated me, more than any amount of private college money could. That is easily enough for me. More than enough. Worth far, far more than any amount of money I may have laid out for albums etc. Oscar Wilde, pal, Oscar Wilde.

Were you christened with that name, lol? (only Joe King--I'm being ironic).

Or maybe Prince is disposable to others. No one probably wants to know someone famous without having their own hidden agenda. They always want something...be it their own little piece of fame, money, recognition or a job. Must get pretty disappointing trying to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I don't consider myself a fanatic, but his music/lyrics/ambiance has to some degree shaped my life. I delve deeper into his music and with each new unreleased track that I uncover, I find myself immersed in what I'm not sure is his mentality or mine. It's without any semblance of recourse of course. What is it that I'm truly searching for, and is he: not the avenue?

That is the power of Prince. He's a musician and musicians connect with their audience in some way shape or form. You have just connected to him in someway through his music. Others here may dispute it but it seems like that's how you feel and it's perfectly valid and in my opinion is purely the point of music.
Shut up already, damn.

In answer to your question. I'm sure Prince cares about everybody, only he cares about "other things for us" than what most of us would want him to care about for us.He wants us to find the peace he has. But people generally don't want peace. We go for the opposite because we're bombarded with it daily from all angles. e.g. news/propaganda/internet/world in dissaray.

Could not have sad it any better than that!!

If we would only LOVE more it would make such a difference in the world.

Prince loves all of his fans...the question should be do you still love him? sexy grouphug hug

I'm still waiting for the thread starter to come back and explain who this "us" is. Are there people here who need Prince to care about them?

I'd also like to know why the thread title has nothing whatsoever to do with the paragraph beneath it?

Otherwise I'll just count it as another bait thread.

Here we go again (Bass, how low can you go?). The following is purely mho.

Prince explained on 'Money Don't Matter' that we should RESPECT money, but not worship it. Money has to be respected. If you are drowning and I am too much of a coward to jump in (I am a coward!), if I throw 1 million dollars at you, it will not help you. If I through a rubber ring at you, it may well save you.

However, the rubber ring did cost money (about 5 dollars?), so money is important and should be respected. But not worshipped. Prince is entitled to cash, given that he has earned it many times over with the pleasure he has given to so many, and given he has utilised his talents and given he had some shit growing up and given he has some shit from people now.

But I do agree with your second point! Nice one.

I don't give a flying poopage whether he has, as you so eloquently put it, 'use' for me or not. His music and lyrics have been a great source of fun and knowledge to me. He does not need any, as you so eloquently put it, 'use' for me. He has done more than enough just through his talent (which he has not buried, and thus done well out of).

Lol. I don't know about this particular question, but some questions are posed to try to rile Prince's fans. So when the fans react to the provocation, the questioner then laughs at them. Does the questioner not realise that he/she is revealing more about him/herself than either Prince or his fans?
