Tonight Show 2008 backdrop

When he played Turn Me Loose before Coachella, that backdrop was pretty cool looking - looks like it could be an album cover or something. It's hard to see though. Anyone know if that photo has appeared somewhere else?

It was on the shirts worn by some of the ladies who came on stage during the 'Feel Good' Leno performance.

I seem to remember the 'source picture' showing up somewhere shortly after, but I can't remember if it was here or elsewhere.

Anybody got the pics?

It's an album, and there is a configuration for it. It includes "Turn Me Loose" as well as "Prince & The Band".

Hah, I remember thinking "that would be a nice cover for an album", "...but he'll most likely put some photoshop crap on the next one anyway".

LOL.

It's not bullshit - but some people know, and some people don't. You are clearly the latter.

The album was planned for release shortly after that performance but Prince changed his mind.

Yes. Otherwise the performance was redundant. Prince is hardly in the habit of performing live on shows unless he has something to release.

I loved 'Turn me Loose'. Probably one of his superior funk work-outs. Would love to hear that album, but alas ... .

Now, if Prince put THAT album on 'Lotusflow3r' or for download ...
Funk is its own reward.

Prince: Give me that album and all will be forgiven.

Come on now. It's not as if your doing anything with it ... .

yes, that was cool artwork, i was hoping it would be an album cover.

the lotusflower cover is a bit cheesy but it works, somehow. yet i'd
have been thrilled if that backdrop had been the official cover.

i guess it could have been an early idea for the "mplsound" cover
since that particular picture of prince that is used as an element
in the backdrop is also on the Mplsound album pace on lotusflower,
in the album art section. tho it's also in the 21 Nights book.

but this tweeked version with those (other people?) and bright red
colours is very cool.

Do you have any more info than what has already been posted here? This is very interesting!

No, of course he doesn't. It's nothing more than speculation on the part of fans here. As per usual, it's now being taken fact, despite the fact that there is NOTHING to confirm it.

He was performing at Coachella the next day. That's why he appeared on Leno.

Once again, you are wrong. There was some more information floating around on Housequake, before it was shut down.

You keep saying that and not offering any proof. Back up your statements, or you're just rumour-mongering.

So it's unreasonable of me to expect that people not spread around unverified info as fact? I was on Housequake too, and I remember the theories and wishful thinking, but that's all it was.
