17 Days blew me away - wasn't expecting that. The opening from behind the curtain with ATWIAD and then when the curtain flew back/up to reveal his nibs was out of this world exciting at the time.

I remember Do Me Baby really well, When Doves Cry, Mountains and of course Purple Rain were the other stand-out moments, but I can't really express how blown away I was by the whole experience. The only thing that ever topped it was Lovesexy two years later.

It was a whole other world from what I'd been living - It was the first time I was truly transported by an experience and became aware how much experience there was out there to have. biggrin

Agreed Vivid, I know of the 'experience' that ur alluding 2 here. My 1st Prince show was Lovesexy at Wembley and, like Parade, all of London's musical aristocracy were out in force watching history being made. The whole show/experience was overwhelming. Incredible. He set the benchmark 4 all live performers with his 80's tours.

Yep. The Lovesexy show was my second Prince show - I was third row and when he was going around on the back of the car at the end, he and I exchanged 'cross' hand signals - and my mate got his towel. We both went home very happy that night. I've never experienced a concert like Lovesexy since.

My main memory is the constant roar of the crowd - there was never a lull. I was simultaneously drained and elated when I got home that night.

Man, I would LOVE to find the joker that thought their whistle was the perfect accompaniment to every song!
