Message at the end of Xpedition Why is there a baby crying at the end of Xpedition? Could Mani be pregnant? Whisper a question, with my body I'll scream a reply | |

After making so many references to his unborn baby on disc 2 of Emancipation only to have to go through the tragedy that followed, I doubt very much whether Prince would ever record such things again.
However, it would be lovely if he was to become a father. | |

Plus, there are other metaphors here that P has used repeatedly in the past. "Songs are like his children," etc. Plus, it's named XPectation, has 9 tracks (i.e. months before childbirth), has its ups and downs, then ends with a baby's cry. Might not be a personal statement from P...just an inspiration for how to configure the album after dropping Xenophobia from it. There is also a Tradition when it's New Years of showing a baby. So Prince is ringing in a new Year and New Age since the music was released right after New Year's Eve. Also,I was thinking this could be Prince as a baby Himself so to speak crying out for his Mother. Think about it.??? | |

...or nothing. But I guess it's likely that it simply means "giving birth to new music", like Scottie P. said in the ONA Live booklet or Prince naming his songs his "children". | |

To my opinion the child sound seems to be sound FX souding like a baby (he cries pretty curiously and so high pitched!!!)
anyway your opinion about directions and all could be true. Or we cans say that Xpectation is the album we were waiting for and his Xpectation is to be a father... "Goodness will guide us when love is inside of us... The Force will be with you, always" | |

**The BABY crying @ the end is ALL OF YOU NPGMC members, who whine and complain and run to the BBB. "Xpectation" is the final statement of 2002 membership, and when all is said and done, there is STILL "crying" from you babies! THAT is the message!
Why do you think that the "Xenophobia" track was dumped and the recording re-titled "Xpectation"? THAT is a statement aimed right at YOU. Good for Prince, you ungrates! | |
