Im down with some collaboration..I just hope you can put up with my steadfastnedness on my vision etc and my opinion. I see you putting my opinion and analysis a perfect touch etc and vice versa...but also this is very very very, sooo very personal for me. I feel like I need to do it so I can say my final word and leave this purple rock alone. I want it to be THE thesis, source etc one goes to for understanding the lyrics, the musicianship, the image, the unfairness, the genius, the hurt and pain that is in this mans music..that even for all the accolades Prince has recieved, is still underrated and unknown. There are politics, race, gender, etc issues that has not been fully tapped in writng about the music. I need to do this.

I feel you. I'm just as strong minded as well, so I aint gonna be mad if we cant combine visions for one thesis. In fact the more the more the merrier. Perhaps we collab on a book of essays, each singularly penned?

EDIT ADDED:

One of the best ways to get such a project started (i.e., collection of essays) is by organizing an academic conference or series of panels at various conferences... and have the papers be developed for a book project.
