At my age, Prince was getting ready to release Lovesexy.

I'm working hard in my museum career and will finish my master's degree next semester. Not quite as sucessful as Prince, but I didn't get such an early start knowing what I wanted to do either!

Releasing C&D, I think...

Hmmm, well, I got 2 kids, and am married to the most amazing woman alive, so I think I got 3 on Prince!!!

For all those young'uns who aren't sure what they want to do with their life at around 19 - I'm twice that and still unsure!

I'm a theater director who started a theater group of avant-garde street theater for social change. I'm also an environmental activist and chair the board of my country's largest environmental volunteer org, And as of this year I'm a full-time teacher.

And what's Prince? Just a musician... razz

Yes, this is a fun thread. I've often played this game in my mind.

Prince one month after his 43rd birthday: plays that strange, jazz-flavored (but wonderful from what I hear) gig in Montreal, abruptly cancels the rest of his A Celebration tour; NPGOnlineLtd. officially morphs into the NPG Music Club (boo! now we have to pay!); WB releases The Very Best of, and then Prince lays low while preparing to launch The Rainbow Children.

At my age, he released

and then changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol.

I, on the other hand, changed my name from something unpronounceable to Ymaginatif and released:

wow - you are really doing a fine homework Ernest. cool

here's a reply...

- 2002 was boring to me in that way I hate the jazzy ONA Live box set,
- ONA Piano is boring as well,
- thanks for reminding me about the 2003 release of NEWS, which is a crap album as well.

I am not into the jazzy ONA tour, I saw Ålborg (my hometown) and Copenhagen 2002
- these were good but still this jazzy tour is far from his best tour imo. I remember some reviews were luke warm in Denmark as well.

I saw the Vega aftershow in Copenhagen, this concert was brilliant.

When I wrote 2002 was a boring Prince year, I guess I meant that no "real" and strong rock-funk-pop Prince album was released that year.

I guess you like 2002 Ernest, the tour and those releases, cool...

but to me (this may be a shock to some), I rank the London tour in 2007 a lot higher than ONA.

I never said I liked it. But your response said, "I guess Prince was taking a nap in 2002", possibly indicating that he was inactive, and not putting any product out. I just went over the facts, and presented the truth. Actually, the only thing I enjoyed from that list was the "Days of Wild" single, but I still prefer the cursing one on Crystal Ball over the sanitized version from 2002. The tour was extensive, and he toured through more months than not. So he was busy. I didn't think 2002 was such a mystery because ....well, there was a lot going on that year. I've long said I didn't enjoy the box set (it was a lot of false advertisement), nor did I enjoy the racism on One Nite Alone. Even if it's just one song, it ruins the whole set for me. I even prefer the newer version of "U're Gonna See Me" from LotusFlow3r, than the one on One Nite Alone. And I was never a member of the NPG Music Club, none of the years.
