Has Prince ever played Funkadelic's "Maggot Brain" in concert?

Being such a sick guitar player and P-Funk fan I'd have to assume he's done that one at least once.

I thought this piece would have influenced Prince to jam it in public but quite sure it hasn't been done. Nothing can beat the soulful original.

In my mind i'd be in the audience at a concert and prince would ask "what d'ya wanna hear?" i'd shout "maggot brain" and he'd nod to the drummer/bass to start that slow rhythm intro, building up to the shrill guitar tones of eddie hazel (channelled through prince).

oh well, it's a fantasy.

He hasn't done many P-funk covers at all really has he? Its all Sly, Stevie and JB in the main.

he covered this song at least twice at his 3121 aftershows... i have the bootlegs to prove it

Especially since when he performed it on The Purple Rain Tour. He wore a hood on his head just like Michael Hampton did when he performed Maggot Brain.
