I Rock, Therefore I Am

I just love the beat so much, I can't sit still when listening to it. Definitely a jewel in the crown in his 90's catalogue

"somebody selling 12 CDs 4 a dollar!"

This was a great track from a pretty ggod rock album in my opinion.
When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Not that I've heard. It's an alright song, but I just can't stand the raps. Every time I hear NPG to the maximum I just cringe.

I rock, therefore I am (and note the I not eye) is all NPG from the Diamonds and Pearls and era. I remember putting this on a mix tape at the time and loving when it popped up, but now the song seems to lack the same freshness that I felt it had at the time.

Thanks man. Second best dancer on the Gameboyz (Kirky J's #1, Tony sucked). Much respect to your handle also. BG is my beat right now along with Cool by The Time.

From Ultimate Chaos And Disorder: http://prince.org/msg/7/319752

"Rosie Gaines also added lead vocal to I Rock, Therefore I Am, which sounded like an outtake from the 1992 prince-album with horrible Jamaica-rap added by Steppa Ranks in the style of the 1993 Pink Cashmere (12” Remix) and a 1996 rap by Scrap D., possibly replacing a Tony M. rap. Scrap D. also appeared on a couple of Emancipation tracks that same year."
