WHY DO YOU Love THE NEW PRINCE??? (PLEASE NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS)

Prince is 50 years old and he has obviously changed. His music and his appearence is different now that he is living for Jehovah God. I Love his short hair cut and he looks so handsome in his suits. As we get older we mature and change. When we give ourselves to God we become a different person. Prince choose not to sing some of his songs from the past. Ephesians 4:29 say's "Let a rotten saying not proceed out of your mouth,but whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be,that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers." When I was younger i use to like the old Prince, but now that I'm more mature I love the new Prince more. Now express why you love the new Prince. please no negative comments.

WHOOPS!!

He's overtly religious.

He's preachy.

He censors his music.

He's hypocritical.

He's a conspiracy theorist, spreading untruths.

He's Prince.

Is that negative? They're all true statements.

There's a reason people like the younger Prince, pre 2000 or so. He's NOT all of those things above. If he was THAT guy making music today....eh, I can dream.

Why is exploring sexuality through art considered "rotten"? I also like the "new" Prince, but why does this have to be at the expense of the "old" Prince. I may not be the same person I was twenty years ago, but that does not mean that I denounce my entire worldview or ignore past experiences. It's hard to accept the conservative and religiously pious views of the "new" Prince- when they come from the same person who was so humanistic, revolutionary and beautiful in his previous life.

Remember when Prince was skeptical and constructively critical of organized religion?

I just ignore the preachy parts and enjoy the beat...

For me, it's not about loving the old Prince or the new Prince. I just love Prince period. Him and his music are like relatives in the family. Sure his views about things have changed but that's his business. He's still the same person who sang about a girl named "Nikki" back in 1984. Whether he's down with Jehovah or down with pussy, it doesn't matter. I will ALWAYS remain a Prince fan.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

It is written in Squirrelgreasians 7:11 "Like a son of man, wearing a cloak of purple, with a gold moon around his ear - he will bring forth a hellish funk, though slightly watered-down than in previous years."

This man still makes music when there's no reason to anymore besides his love for making music. I will admit that I don't hear the same hunger I did in the eighties material, but isn't that in line with human nature? He's 51 years old. Purple Rain part two will never happen. I'd rather see what WILL happen as he continues to make new music. It doesn't take away from what he's done, not even a little.
