Do u think Prince should let someone else produce an album for him? I would be interested to hear what another producer could do with a prince album, what fresh ideas would come from it, any new directions etc.

I personally would love to see prince release a hard, guitar driven album, a bit like the undertaker, less pop and more rock, it would blow people away.

Let him work together with Radiohead, Lenny Kratitz, Muse or maybe the producers of the dutch Anouk Welcome to the Dust.

So should John Legend, Wi.ll.iam (not sure where the interpunction goes), George Duke, Marcus Miller or Quincy Jones. What? Will.I.Am But it would suck. A Piano influenced album with Alicia Keys, John Legend and Regina Spektor sounds nice. A bit of jamming and lyric working. Welcome to the Dust.

I love Prince as a producer anyway I'd like him to collaborate with James Poyser, Questlove or Raphael Saadiq. My wet dream would definitely be a Prince / Chromeo collabo, but I doubt it will ever happen.

Prince + Will.I.Am + Trent Reznor - Will.I.Am = best album ever Yes. Prince and Reznor, say 1990, 1991.....unspeakably hot music could have come from every moment of every song. As it stands now, I'd like to see him do a record with Alicia Keys. No rapping allowed by anyone. [Edited 8/10/09 15:28pm]

Strip it all back. Or a live album with Blackwell, Rhonda, Renato and himself, no overdubs, just kick it. Live in a room, miked well and let the tape roll with Steve Albini. Both fantastic ideas. Rubin and Albini wouldn't let Prince bury the guitars - which always peeves me about P's production. Purple Fact #542: Prince can make a Weebleâ„¢ fall down.

prince's guitar is loud in the mix

Nahh I don't think so Prince writing and producing his own music is what I really respect him for. If he let someone prodduce an album for him I'd still buy it but i'd be pretty disapointed.

i'd love to hear what would happen if prince worked with mark ronson and/or the dap-kings. that would be pretty sweet.

i don't think he needs anyone to change his sound but i do think he could use someone to make him get out of his head and mix up the routine.
