I forgot to mention that Prince admires Kate Bush's masterpiece "Hounds Of Love" from 1985, I read it somewhere, can't remember where,

You're right. I expected something outstanding from them working together. I think Prince kinda over-produced Kate's track. Check out her demo:

Prince can't handle working with other artists. He can produce albums for pretty young girls who go along with his idea of what everything should be, but not anyone with something to say of their own.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...bP-dapt09Q Didn't prince say he had a duet with Kate in his vaults. Love to hear a proper duet. I just heard the demo! He butchered the song! I thought I liked the released version just fine, but now I love the original!

Remember, the final album version (3) is a hybrid of both Kate's original (1) and prince's funked up version (2). So it's hard to pass judgment that prince ruined it.

yeah, I like where he writes: "[Prince] treats people as if he thinks he is actually better than them, like hes royalty or something" Isn't he tho? Duh. Yeah ok, Prince isn't better than you. Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone

Hi y'all, maybe it was not supposed to be a duet like a Bryan Adams Mel C Baby When You're Gone thing. I see it more like co-productions. Actually I can hear both very well. In My Computer Kate is very clearly audible from the third refrain and she's indeed in all the lines in this computer vox what's that called... You can easily hear Prince's three tenors choir in the refrain of WSILY? And it's The Man who repeadedly end the song why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love why should I love Ever since Kate Bush' album The Red Shoes came out back in the nineties, this duet with Prince 'Why Should I Love You?' is one of my favorite duets and productions with other artists. Without knowing of the existence of this topic, I was listening to it these days several times. I was about to start a post on it and now I noticed, while Googling, there's already a threat and a demo version from her as well: Kate Bush - Why Should I Love You (demo) http://www.youtube.com/wa...bP-dapt09Q This story tells that she'd send Prince her demo version. Full article in http://74.125.77.132/sear...clnk&gl=nl . There's an interesting discussion on there, on the whereabouts and how this song came to daylight. Especially the "All of..." and "Of all..." difference makes it interesting. The ego has landed... I enjoyed this demo very much, it's much different, more accoustic. Prince, on the other hand, really made it a Prince tune - IMO - with this repeating organ tune throughout the song and these typical guitar solo and synthesizer stunts. And then there's the 1996 production of 'My Computer' on Emancipation. How does this co-production relates? I guess this is originally a Prince song, but Katebushnew.com states this: "While most people say that Kate's voice is hard to make out in the mix, Q magazine described it as "the finest moment" of the album, and a "career highlight" for The Artist." I would also like to know if Prince ever performed this song live? The Red Shoes Stuart Elliott: Drums Prince: Keyboards, Guitar, Bass, Vocals. Lenny Henry: Vocals Nigel Hitchcocks: Tenor Saxophone Neil Sidwell: Trombone Paul Spong: Trumpet Steve Sidwell: Trumpet & Flugel Horn The Trio Bulgarka: Vocals Kate: Keyboards Arrangement by Kate and Prince. I have to say after listening to the Kate Bush demo and I do rate her very highly Red Shoes was one of only a few albums that i consider every song and don't skip any when I play it and that only happens on a few albums just like PR and like P her songs are the only other songs garranteed to make me cry on listening. But I still perfer the final version that Prince worked his magic on it. When I first got the Kate Bush album I never even knew that P had worked on it and that track was one of my favourites and now I know why. I think its great.

Del Palmer (KB's partner at the time) said that they were all disappointed with the outcome of this track-that prince had missed the point and just dominated it
