I would love if a DVD was made of the first show. I know it won't be but damn. I didn't expect to like this more than the conga room but it is definitely up there.

Co-sign. The part where he sings/screams the same line with his guitar is incredible.

Thanks to those who had this available so quickly. I believe the first show is an FM Broadcast and the 2nd show is an audience recording with decent sound.

PR was an unnecessary unplanned addition to the show.
You did read the reports about the 2nd show didn't you?
P made concessions and this is one of them.

Yeah, was wondering if the 1st show was soundboard, very clear and has the radio announcer every so often.

No, NO, No.
I dit meet Bart and Bart is OK.
But I am not him.

Why are so many people who weren't there, or who did not get the few facts, raving about the 2nd show?
If you would consider that show as a plan for a railway it would look ridiculous.
So many detours, changes and back-to-the-track situations. (both in relative and absolute numbers)
This does not make the show immediately bad, but from a grown and mature musician we expect more.
Either doe what you planned and perhaps communicate about that.
Or do a free form show, because show #1 was great, and make people happy.

Apart from the hassle with the critical fans in the front line, why play PR when there's tons of other songs that he could play?
Especially at a night where he used show #1 to set the tone, to do something excellent. Why try to improve on show #1 by repeating a few songs in show #2 and then throw in ATCLUIM and PR?
They did not really fit the themes of the other songs for shows #1 and #2.

And no, I did not listen to the shows after I went home.
I did not download them.
Yet.

The hypocrisy from many in this thread that have stated, quite vocally...file sharing is wrong, Prince is right in his fight against copyright infringement and bootleggers because he should be compensated for his work!

Hell, some up in here would even go so far as saying that if I didn't hop on a plane, book a hotel and have tickets to both Montreux shows, that I'm just too poor to be a Prince fan and nothing more than a thief, stealing his work if I were talking about listening to those shows, right now!
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I have to say I'm very impressed with the 1st concert(stuck on listening repeatedly to this one right now).

I'm lovin the sounds P is producing from his new strat.

P always delivers a great performance but this set list and the arranfements for some of the lesser played gems is real special to my ears.

All the negativity bounced around here is really blown out the water IMO.

Lots of energy, power, interaction from all the band. And the vibe is electric.

Lovin this and I will be one of the first to go out and buy this when/ if ever P chooses to make it available...whatever format! smile

I was there. The first show was more cohesive, the second more like an aftershow. I think the first show was better. The absolute highlight for me was Empty room in the first show. people around me actually cried. The guitarsolo was the best I ever heard him deliver (and I heard quite a few). The audience actually applauded DURING the solo (and since you're all listening to a recording of the show, you must have noticed this).
