PURPLE RAIN on the big screen in NYC The Film Society of Lincoln Center is doing an all-musical weekend for the 4th of July, and they're showing Purple Rain at midnight on July 3rd at the Walter Reade theatre in NYC.

...GO on N.Y.!!..i'm proud of that effort!!...i remember when i also saw puple rain..it was at the drive-in..HUGE..HUGe SCREEN..i was in heaven and it was BEAUTIFUL 2 see prince on the BIG-SCREEN ..She's Just A Baby..but she's my lady..my loveR..my only friend!..true love that will last!..PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND..WHAT SHE SEES IN AN OLDER MAN..they never stop 2 think that maybe i'm what she's looking 4..THEY NEVER TAKE THE TIME..2 look in her mind | |

How is it out of date? No more out of date than classics and cut classics from the 50's 60's & 70's That's what makes it soooo good, a totally different time from where we are, where exciting things were happening in a Purple subculture Now where I come from

People do this with other types of movies these days too not just musical (Wrath Of Khan springs to mind) If you can go, do so. I think it'd be alot of fun. Not my bag, but i could see the fun in it.
