Let Me Just Get This Out.. Lately I have been reading so much hate on the org towards Prince, if you don't like the man and his music why do you come here? Seriously, If I was not a fan I would not waste time from my life and family to post hatred here daily! It's really starting to get old-then there are those who just troll threads looking for opportunities to make terrible comments towards other posters or Prince. It needs to stop-where the hell are the mods? Why does it always have to be like this here? I know we all have freedom of speech, but Prince has feelings as he said in his Tavis interview and so does every person who logs in here. Sorry, but it had to be said. | |

I agree. I wouldn't take the time out of my day going to an artist's site that I can't stand. My time is too precious. For instance, you would never find me on a britney spears or lil wayne site because I can't stand them with a passion. Prince believes he is a musical prophet that has been chosen by Jehova to guide his fans to the "truth". | |

I agree. I wouldn't take the time out of my day going to an artist's site that I can't stand. My time is too precious. You are absolutely right. I don't understand how one comes here just to dog Prince and any fan who likes what he's doing. It boggles my mind. People are free to do it but then you can't help but ask "Why?" when they do. Then they'll get mad at you for asking. It's getting real bad in here. Like you, I can't even think of coming to a site for someone who I don't like. Hell, I like Madonna and her music but I can't think of going to a Madonna fansite cause I don't like her like that and I know I'll complain and be like many people are here with P and it's going to mess with the site. NurseV, get ready for folks to come on here and rip you a new one for starting this thread. Just warning you. It may get ugly.  [Edited 4/30/09 10:18am] Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

go to anyone's fan site and i guarantee you, you'll find a group of people whose sole purpose is to knock the artist down and complain about how they're not as good as they used to be, and how we're all victims and being treated horribly by the artist. i don't know what that's all about. yeah, i might not like everything prince does, but that doesn't make the 1999 album sound any worse to my ears. i'm still loving what i'm loving, and not letting the less-than-perfect stuff take away from what keeps me excited about prince's work. Agreed. There are things that Prince has done that I may not care for and when that is the case I listen or watch something else. Even on here I may state that I don't like it and keep it moving, but I never come here daily to post ignorant, hurtful comments. That is a waste of productivity and time. It didn't really have to be said...AGAIN...as it's been said 500,000 at least. This is not an official Prince website. People have the right to say what they want. Mods will step in when it gets out of line. And let me clarify, negivity does not necessarily mean being out of line. If you notify a mod and they feel it crosses THE line, they will and do deal with it. I do agree, it is a waste of energy on anyone's part to continue to find fault with something you choose to spend time on, but it's the individual's energy to waste. Don't like it? Don't read it. Very simple. May not be the answer you want to hear, but just like you "need to say it" so do others. Trolls are different from opinionated individuals, so don't feed the Trolls. I always thought is was a place to get info and update. To critique's P's style of music here and there is cool. But that other stuff keep it to yourselves. Can't really understand it myself, I know when I first started to come here I was happy to find a site where I could share my love for his music with other people. Sadly I found a lot of hating going on here, fault finding in everthing the guy did. Silly in a way because no one is perfect. I really wanted to know how other people interpreted his music from a technical stand point as I am not a musician. I don't know what to make of it sometimes, is it jealousy?
