Now that I understand the back ground to the song it's a conversation based he had with her ....great ....smart....cool....old friends...

Yeah, the more I listen to this track the more i love it. Almost as much as I love "Here".

Beautiful song- it

This song is one that I am stuck on at the moment. It's a perfect example of what Prince does best. How can one artist write sooo many ballad/lovesongs/babymakers.

I've said in another post that "Better with time" can be held up with some of his other big ballads and as time passes it too will get better with time.

That swelling of voices at the end just puts chills down the spine.

So I find out today that it was written for Kristen Scott Thomas makes the song even more cooler.

Better With Time is an instant classic for me definitely. I cannot listen to Here and not BWT right after it. It makes sense that its about her. It fits
