My prince story! I was in this band a few years ago and our mentor at that time sent a video tape of our performance to paisley park and we were contacted by sonia cates or gates ,who was working at paisley.
We got invited to go to the club in minniapolis and jumped in our van and drove,and were invited to the upstairs section. Well we were watching this band play ,it might of been some dudes from mazerati playing,and all of a sudden our key board player tapped me on the shoulder and said :dont look right away,but prince is sitting right behind us,so i played it off,my heart beating very fast and prince was sitting in a booth by himself looking at us,well i acted cool and looked at him,then watched the band,and after five minutes or so he got up and left not saying a word to anyone. How cool was that!! | |

Nice. I don't have a Prince story, but I have 1 degree of separation from a Prince story. My friend was able to get on stage with Prince at an aftershow in Buffalo back in 02 to sing Paisley Park. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...

At the Roosevelt show a girl tapped me on the shoulder to look next to me and there he was..all 5 feet of him. I pretended to grab his ass and he quickly looked over at me and ran his fingers through his hair then jumped on stage. I almost got caught!
Earlier that night I was able to dance my way up the aisle to the stage and he came over to me and humped his guitar. Then I proceeded to stumble over to Sheila E and introduce my drunken self.  | |

I love reading Prince stories and love that the .org is here as a wonderful place to share them.
Sadly, I have no Prince stories of my own, but hey, there's the hint of a new tour in the air, so God willing, my Prince story is yet to come. Thanks to all of those that shared their fun stories!!  I'm firmly planted in denial | |

If Prince tours again,and comes through North Carolina. That will be my only Prince story. I would be happy to see him in concert. | |
