Hmmmmm howz about no he shouldnt cuz i actually love Musicology and 3121, Planet Earth was ok, I certainley dont want 2 hear another Vault album cuz that 1 was a bit poo and i figure he obvioulsy hasnt released that stuff 4 a reason most probably cuz its shit! Everybody's looking 4 the ladder

I hope you are not talking about the released compilation album Crystal Ball, cuz that one was, even though a bit all over the place, quite fun. The Vault Old Friends 4 Sale was a big let down, butr had some great tunes on there; I love Sarah, When The Lights Go Down, She Spoke 2 Me (extended) and Extraoridnary. I also love his deep voice on There Is Lonely. And It's About That Walk is rather fun, even though forgetable for the rest. | |

i loved CRYSTAL BALL, its my favorite album, u cant beat Acknowledge Me,Hide the Bone, and others. The Vault CD was crap,...just think of watelse is in his VAULT,plus theres a lot of songs that are ciculating that need 2 b heard in clear quality like "Shes just a Baby" & "Extra Loveable". | |

Prince should not hang around conservative people (creatively conservative as well) and needs to hang around crazy creative people that argue with him. Then he needs to make new music designed to shock and impress his way out there friends.

I admit there is a long list of unreleased material that is too genius to just gather dust in the corners of Prince's mind and basement. But I do not see how releasing that material should void him releasing recent material or performing.

oh yes. on one hand it seems so superficial and unimportant because the actual reason we love him 4 is his music, but then again i think the sound of some words ("uuuh i wanna.. i wanna.. i wanna.. i wanna FUCK u") makes the music more interesting again |

on the other hand, if he was THAT sure of the present and the way he deals with music and him saying he doesnt need/live in the past, why didnt he burn all those "bad" tracks from the vault then? why does he still keep them? |

People need reminding, P played over 150 songs in London last year. He jammed with Group Fantasma, he rocked in a trio, he changed his set every night, often performing twice. We don't hear James Brown talked down, & he did the same show for 25 years. It was great show, but the same show. Sly Stone is funk royalty, yet he treated his fans like dirt. People seem to forget, that all Prince tours have had a basic set list. How much variation was there in the Controversy Tour, or Parade, or LoveSexy etc. If anything he's varying it more now - the difference is that people have the bootlegs and are listing to several shows of a tour before they go to a concert. It is too much to expect 21 shows + aftershows to all have a different setlist, different staging and different choreography. The question is, when did you last go to a Prince show and not enjoy it? Prince has consistently raised the stakes. Last summer in London, many people went to see Prince, who wouldn't normally - they were blown away. I was told several times that people thought I was mad being a Prince fan, but wow, that was the best concert they EVER saw, better than they believed possible. I believe Prince is greatest performer of my lifetime, and one of the most original artists of all time. Not every track will redefine music, but Prince's body of work and stage craft have. | |

All valid points, except that there was alot of moaning about James Brown's career as well, except there was no internet. People thought he had gone 'Vegas'. Sly got booed in the UK last year and righteously so. SO true on the being spoilt part; Prince gave alot of people a great time last year and most were just 'hits'-fans, so to speak, not die hard fans. To some die hard fans, including me, it all felt sugary commercial and a bit automated on part of the experiencing of the music. It did not impress musically or artistically. And his body of work will never redefine music, but he certainly influences alot of different people. | |

With all respect to JB, he is from a differnent generation of entertainers. The business was different then. Not that JB isn't kick ass, of course he is, but Prince is more versatile, and his music goes places JB never could have dreamed of. The expectations of Prince are high. But dude, is coasting on reputation. My point about the band is that I am bored with the lineup. Josh, Cora, Hayes and the rest of the Bland Band, seem out of place to me doin the hits. I want to hear the Revolution or Andre Cymone, Dez, Fink, you' know? I don't ever want to hear Prince play a cover of anybody else's song. I don't care about that. That's so old school showbiz gimmicky it ain't even funny. Eric Benet does that. Every half-ass, no talent R&B entertainer throws in a classic back-in-the-day cut to hype the crowd because they can't deliver jams for a full show. Prince used to be better than that. And I still say he should retire. I don't believe his heart is in music anymore. I believe he is a deeply spiritual man who is in the process of a lot of soul searching and he's uncomfortable in the music biz at this point in his life. I think he's done his thing. He should step away from the spotlight, pursue his spiritual journey and release outtakes and DVD's from now on. Yeah I know, Prince still has something left in the tank, and that even the worst Prince cd or concert is better than a lot of other artists best work. But he is not up to his own standards at this point, it shows, and he could better satisfy his fan base and continue to rake in the dollars, by giving us the really good stuff from the 80's and 90's, that he didn't have the ability to release under Warners. | |

I don't know if the some songs would sound the same if released. All clean and polished in all. Like Sexual Suicide for example. The original version sounds so much better than the cleaned up, polished version on CB. He added backround vocals and other things to it.Screwd up the song. So im glad I have the orignal. Some people think I'm kinda cute
