I love using fresh 'in season' produce from our local Farmer's Markets ..and shop there weekly. ..I'd simply ask him what he likes ..think about what I had in the kitchen and go in and whip up some things. I'd even ask him if he'd like to help and if he's ever snapped a green bean. smile ..No one has ever left anything on a plate at my house. ..I like to cook light but very flavorful dishes in Spring/Summer ..and flavorful but hearty soups and stews during fall/winter. I also cook Spanish and Italian dishes. Although, I'm not very big on baking pies and cakes ..or making candy (I don't eat very many sweets) ..I can make delicious down-home everything..that would have you slapping somebody. ..LOL.. Gourmet is nice ..but most of those dishes take too much time out of my world to prepare very often. ..And don't even get me started on the new-age-fusion cooking. ..oiy-yy.. We'd have to go out for that wink ..or have it catered in ..a-and Chinese (which I love) and Japanese. ..My hat's off to all of the wonderful cooks and chefs who can do those cuisines justice.

sounds drool

Memphis? Damn, too far for me

I could make him tagliatella with spinach, salmon, little prawns and lots of lemon and garlic (which I'm going to make when I can pull myself away of this pc lol).

Or a nice richely filled salad, again lots of lemon and garlic, I'm addicted to those 2 ingredients. Beans are delicious, lots of onions, or is that too gassy for P. hmmm

Or my own peas or lentil soup but I throw in some sausage in the peas soup for taste so I'd have to replace that with...erm, something else, I wouldn't know what.

There are many non-meat dishes that taste delicious. And we always have the internet, so handy.
