In the song 'If i was your girfliend' is that a woman singing or Prince? Just listened to this song and it sounds like a woman is singing. If would feel vey uncomfortable if I found out a woman is not singing. | |

seriously though, i was one of  s that wasn't sure if this was p when i first heard it as well ("newbie"   ). it is credited to someone named "camille" (who is also thanked in the credits). i understand the confusion , but yes, it is prince, with his voice sped-up. same with housequake, strange relationship, etc. camille = prince , one of his many "alter-egos"  .put it where it feel good  | |

Prince does sound like a girl, especially in the opening line. When I first heard this song I was with my brother, we were both Prince fans. After a first few mintues into the song my brother goes "Prince is trying to sound like a girl." Some people think I'm kinda cute

Stupid post but some mildly interesting replies. When I first heard it I thought nothing strange about it whatsoever. It must be a shame hearing Prince's early work for the first time years after its release. The impact that whole album had on me was spellbinding. It was radical and innovative and only Prince was doing it. Nowadays he's extremely competent, back then he was groundbreaking. You don't need God to have Goodness. Or a shed. | |
