anyways this goes to thread started mainly

i did.. i loaded the song darling nikki in sony sound forge... i opened that song loaded it backwards(reverse) and then hit play and i do not hear either of the hello how are you i'm fine forwards or backwards i can load that 50 second clip of the normal speech and reverse it and it sounds just the same as the backwards and so fourth..but not in Darling Nikki Daling Nikki sounds just well backwards and i have a good ear for hearing listening..oh tho i think this is just my sub-conscious brain thinking.. at the end it sound slike lol.. it saying in clear(er) speech "i'm/ I am not satan"

Either way, if loaded it or played it the o.g. way on a turntable (that's how I did it with this album the day it was released). I could tell from listening to the song being played nomal that when u get to the end of the song and u hear the rain and then u hear P's vocals singing acappella. I could tell just from listening to that section with just P's vocals that it was reversed. So tangerine, all u have to do is start the song from the end and play it in reverse. U will then hear P clearly sing "Hello, how are u?..I'm fine. Cuz I know the Lord is coming soon. Coming, Coming, soon. Ha ha ha ha ha ha."

yo could someone tell me why this works on a record player using your fingers to drag backwards and not on computer softeware in reverse..? the software is just fine cuz i can for example take missy elliots song 'work it' load it in same software and reverse it and you plainly hear 'put my thang down flip and reverse it' but not darling nikki..only works for me on record player strange

Someone actually told me about this one back in 86 and it made sense right away that it would be there, cuz I ALWAYS noticed and wondered why would P sing "say say" and then sing "They say". I know many people don't believe or undersatnd backmasking. That's cool. I know it exists and it has for decades. I do it myself, musically and lyrically, in my own songs and productions. There's some folks on here that actaully own some of my stuff where at least on one track, there is a backmask.

I tried it out a long time ago, but I couldn't hear anything. I don't think he'd let a dumb mistake like that make it onto the album. I KNOW there's something there, I KNOW it.

I can't make anything out on 1999 at all. I always figured the "say say" was P telling Dez, JJ, Lisa to sing the chorus. The reverse recording msgs such as on Girl, Darling Nikki, Baby I'm a Star are of course easy to figure out. Is One Day I'm Gonna Be Somebody backmasked or reverse recorded? I don't have a digital copy of that song so I can't hear it...
