Hey purple people, this is just a fun thread I decided to put up in this place. I was listening to PR for the millionth time the other day and started thinking...

What 9 tracks since the release of PR could be put together to make a PR2? Similar sounding songs put in the same order.

I'd love to see what you guys could come up with.

I will try to...however...I am not sure what you mean by a Purple Rain 2...when Grafitti Bridge is kind of considered...a continuation of the same story...

In my mind, I don't know where "The Kid's" Love life is...between Appolonia not being in "Grafitti Bridge," and Aura being hit by the car...

I would have to invent my own angle...I will get back to this....

That's easy..The Gold Experience. It's got a similar rock flavor and a color in the title. (ok that last part is a stretch)

Gold is the big anthem ballad like Purple Rain. Endorphin Machine meshes well with the vibe of Let's Go Crazy. I Hate U is a nice companion to The Beautiful Ones. I'd have to say Billy Jack Bitch makes a good companion piece to Computer Blue because of the anger behind it.

If the collection was kind of a "Purple Rain," Final Chapter...
Prince would own the club and could still extend the idea of a musical competition...With a financial reward for a charity as the final goal.

"The Time," and other bands would be those in the competition and Prince's music would simply be the standard Xpectation of the club.

At this point the "Kid" could be married to a woman that heads a charity organization...For example...Sheila suits this role. If I chose the music to suit this story line...The 9 songs that I would choose...could be these...

I love where you're going with this and it's cool bcuz I never thought about the tracks like this, in terms of story continuation...but what I simply meant was tracks that have the same sound as a PR track, put in the same order, to get a feeling of another PR-style album.
