Yeesh. I can't imagine her covering this track at all. If she did something different with the track, it would upset me, but if she did a faithful take on it, it'd still bother me.

Sounds like BS to me.
Firstly, Pink's new album is called "Funhouse" (not Funkhouse). Secondly, there's no evidence to suggest that the track "Crystal Ball" which is slated to be on the album is a cover of the Prince song. Sounds like people are putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 7! | |

I didn't even realize it happened until I read your post. "Funkhouse" sounds like a good name for a compilation of Prince tracks house-remixed. interesting however this is one of those Prince songs that should just be left alone IMO - although I like Pink and will be interested to hear what it sounds like The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
