Fuck all that. I want THIS;

NPG Records has signed a deal with RYCO discs to release twelve compilation double albums containing previously bootlegged Prince material.

And then some more. All twelve albums will have themes, the first to be released will contain songs you already know, but not quite.
Profile 1 comes in a suave black box, the word 'profile' spelled in letters from various Prince albums. It featured previously released songs, but in previous unreleased versions.
Were you ever curious what that 12 minute version of Computer Blue sounds like in good quality? This is your chance. This first release features songs like U Got The Look, Purple Rain and We Can Funk, but not quite the versions you are used to.

Each month of the year a new double album will be available in both download as well as cd and limited edition vinyl. Extensive liner notes will tell you about how the song came about.
The second compilation will contain songs written by others, reworked by Prince. Cookiejar, Just My Imagination and Do Yourself A Favor.

Stay tuned for more amazing compilations each and every month the entire year. The last compilation will be a sampler of live recordings spanning 25 years, as a prequel to next year's series, when Ryco will release 12 live recordings, from 1980 to 2007, each release will feature one entire live show. The first release will be a totally remastered Sign "O" The Times show and then some. Bonus songs from various aftershows will complete each release.

New Music.

A New tour means I just have to sit through the same old truncated hits with the same old unnecessary horn arrangements thrown in, and another live rendition of kiss--you know, all the stuff he's promised never to play again.

New Music.

That's not what he played at the Indigo2 last year!

New tour for me, every time. I stopped getting excited about new music from Prince long ago. But live, he's still one of the best in the world.
