Prince's Sampling LP's (baby/traffic on 1999 album/1999 era)

I like listening to other artists and hearing the same samples pop up, so Prince must have lifted those sounds from a published sample album.

The traffic on Lady Cab Driver.
The baby at the end of Delirious.

But also the screaming on Others Here With Us, as I just heard it on Chris ´The Glove´Taylor & Ice-T's club mix for Reckless. But I might be mistaking... if you got the club mix; it's 3:20 into the song.

Or is this a keyboard sound?

Anyways. Did anyone ever find out what sample album he lifted those sounds from?

dualboot

or the interactive / gold era computer sounds..... many times I heard them in all kind of audio.

About 1999
I've read once a reference to the use of a certain soundeffect collection. Porb in uptown or one of the bibles from per nilsen

I had a job as a video editor working on porn (man on man hardcore). The guy who did the music came in one day with a set of sound effect cds. It's was a 20 cd set with Sony branding, and it had the sound of the boxing match from Pop Life.

Until then I had always imagined him and Shelia E. had gone to the fights and recorded it there. I guess not.

Prince stands for Penises Rise In Naughty Creamy Explosions, therefore confirming Prince's satanic homosexual tendencies once and for all. -NouveauDance

the most obnoxious one is the woman screaming at the beginning of "we march"
because it's in just about every single b-movie where a woman gets mugged or
a bankrobber pulls a gun and the crowd starts to scream

lol

plus, finding out about the sample discs took away a bit of the magic from
lots of songs because i used to think that artists would just go out onto
the street and record sounds to use on their records.

some did, i know that for sure. like dave steward, he used to record all
sorts of things outside.

sometimes i wish i had a pill to make people disappear

Is it Prince that spitz in "Family Name?" I love that. It's the cutest spit I've ever heard...right on time... cool

That did not happen to me, I just got more fascinated with Prince's old recording techniques.
