How much do you like the screaming at the end of Something in the water...on 1999.

The screams there are so emotional. They happen around the line "Bitch, you think your special, well so do I! Why do you wanna go and make me cry? Why?"

Explosive stuff!

The other ultimate screams are at the end of the Beautiful Ones! But we all know about those!!!! wink

Never underestimate the ballads.

It was the subject of my very first thread! biggrin

Talkin of crying I love the crying on if i was ur girlfriend

It's also the fact that ALL the voices on this track are his. Even the deeper voices for the backing are his just slowed down. I can't remember the facts, but I read (something,somewhere,sometime-sorry it's my age!) that this track has the most overlays of his voice recorded in one track. (something like that but don't quote me!)

It is one of his most intricately crafted and composed songs, maybe second only to Anotherloverholenyohead!

Without a doubt, especially LIVE!!!!

That is where it has improved the most!

I have seen nearly all the tours from Lovesexy til the O2, and I can honestly say that vocally he just gets stronger and stronger!!!

He dosn't seem to scream as much now, but he still does.....and when he does, oh, he still hits them notes!!!!

His voice is another instrument to him that he uses to full effect!!!

That's amazing since most pop/rock singers start to have troubles in their 40s and Prince is stronger than ever. Do you know if he has ever had voice lessons?

Sorry - 3 replies in a row, but,

Yeah, it's true, most musicians, voices especially, don't age too well. But Prince definitely has got better live (studio he has always been good) as the years have gone on!!!!!

The walking Dead!!!! Although Prince still isn't that old!!!! wink

Although the three that you mentioned look like they died a couple a years ago, but were either too stubborn to accept it and they've somehow managed to keep going, or it's the amount of drugs they've pumped into themselves that are still in control!!!! eek eek eek

I know. It's not even that, but his energy as well.

Last year in London, he done 21 concerts and played at about 14/16 of the planned aftershows.

Even on the last night that I went to, he did a 2 and a half hour show followed by a 3 hour or so aftershow!!!!!

At 49 years old!!!????

I've only got to play guitar hero for a few hours and my hands cramp up!!!!!

I love Prince's voice. His voice is beautiful. He always had a beautiful voice. His voice keeps on getting better. I love it when he screams. A Millon Days and The Dance some recent screams. He does them at the end of the song.
