i remember saying the same thing too that the author focused a lot on the negatives that were happening in throughout P's life. he actually made himself look like a catty little bitch. Plus there were some contradictions but i cant remember what they were.
and many of the interviews were just lifted from interviews already published in other resources. i remember reading them through out the course of Prince's career. I mean, at the front of the book, look at the long list of people who declined to give interviews. That was pretty much most if not all of Prince's associates or former associates.

even tho there are many interesting moments that help explain Prince's career, it was definitely a way for someone to make a quick buck. i sold the book in my house sale.

For once and all time... the banished ones are the rebellious angels kicked out of heaven!!

Please! TRC is a Genesis to Revelation allegory on the Bible. While we're at it, the woman symbolizes a spiritual nation, the "Jerusalem above" in Revelation... not a literal woman.

I can't remember the exact wording but did find it funny when he says about Prince arguing with Wendy and Lisa and telling them they're going to hell for being Lesbians!!!

Brave man! I reckon Lisa could kick of crap out of him!!!

Well, Wendy & Lisa did once hint that Lisa actually did wink
In a 1989 interview where they're asked questions about eachother, Wendy was asked:

Has Lisa ever thumped anyone?

Wendy: Yes. With very good cause. I probably shouldn't say who but this one person... (claps) hallelujah!
Lisa: Shall we give him a hint who?
Wendy: No. They'll have to guess
Interviewer: Er...we wouldn't be talking about Prince here would we?
Then on to the next question....
wink

"Possessed" is honestly criticial of Prince

hmmm

Seems that most are merely concerned with being critical of him rolleyes

I guarantee anything I write won't be overly critical. There needs 2b something out there to praises him and at least tries to find "the reason 2 the rhyme"... why he acts the way he does. Rather than tearing him down for it cool

If anything, his music has always said that it's okay 2b different and strive for individuality.
I say let him do that shrug be different, be unique. You find anyone that brave and confident to take the roads he's taken.

Luckily, I've got the know-how and possibly the drive... so if I don't like what's being said, I'll tell it the way I see it. wink

sure, and what about your comment to me? how would you know who he cares about?
u said he's never cared about another human.. do i sound human to you?

you think coming in here and lashing out a hurtful whip of chip de chip abusive behaviour is gunna alter the flava of the colour of my sound? cuz when it all goes down little darlin baby there's a love inside every person on this earth and even in you too and even the big ole scary dark vampire prince who really really if it please you nearly so much as it do i, is just a chile like you and me and everyone else in the big blue sea of love, so hows about we get a little clarity on the issue of levity and realisin and hopin and keeping on with the knowin that everything is always ok even in your darkest day every hour every minute every second of the blessin that you were even born is a miracle and there's something else that every good elf should know.....our universe was created before you or me or anyone else in the big blue sea came along and we can have all our notions and true love potions and cling to the need to feed off one another as much as we like but in the end its about the giving not the taking the bringing not the faking and even he and me and you and everyone else in the big blue goo of forgetfulness is allowed to look up from time to time even when we miss the sign there'll always be another one to help you out. i'll give up all my lovers if you can make me shout but for now i'm talkin sweet as a whisper on the inner spin of the livin life on the inside of the moment in the heart and with this mind you will find something altogether different than human. eye

take care baby. teddy

You're right, the book seems to paint a rather negative picture of Prince. Nevertheless it's one of the best Prince books I've ever read.
I think there is a lot of truth to the book, given the complex personality that Prince obviously has.
As fans we tend to glorify Prince and we don't want to believe that there could be a dark side about him.
Maybe Alex Hahn felt the need to point out, that everything that glitters ain't gold.

Isn't the book subtitled "The Rise & Fall of Prince?" It'd be logical then to expect the conclusion to include the more negative aspects of Prince's career.
