I've FINALLY Understand The Man That Prince Is These Days!

This is something that I said in another forum earlier, but with more detail that is enough to become a thread in itself. And beside, I know the Music: Non-Prince orgers can give me an honest opinion better than anyone in the org.

It's a revelation that I discover about Prince as a business man AND a complex human being as of February 26, 2008 @ 5:00 AM.

Forget about the issues of controlling copyrights, trademarks, master tapes, issues and videos. Prince wants to complete a personal mission that he had never success as of later.

Prince wants to rewrite HIS own career history!

Everything has started to make sense to me now.

Not only does Prince want to control our freedom of speech by threatening fan sites (including the org), but he also wants his former associates (READ: Jill Jones and a few others) to act like he never did side projects with them at all.

So what else will Prince think of next to complete this mission:

1, Threaten Denise Matthews (Vanity) with a lawsuit for talking about him in her own autobiography?

2. Tell Morris Day that he can't perform any more live versions of The Time's greatest funk hits anymore because he knows that Prince & Jamie Starr were the same person?

3. Tell Paul Peterson & Susannah Melvoin that they can't show the video for (let alone perform a new version of) The Screams Of Passion because Prince don't want to hear it anymore?

4. Threaten Mayte with a lawsuit because she still remember the times when she used to be Prince's wife?

Everyone in the org can laugh at me now if you want to. But at this point, Prince has lost so much of his damn mind that I wouldn't put him past him of doing something so stupid as trying to rewrite HIStory before our very eyes & ears.

useless speculation.

the only thing to happen now is if someone manages to sit Prince down in an interview and answer to all these questions about his thing with the Internet....okay, i know, what an undertaking that will be.

as stated before, it all appeared to go downhill in 2006. the question is why and only Prince could answer that.

This is an incredibly stupid thread. If u don't really have anything interesting to say why create a worthless thread? Prince does what Prince wants. Its not for u to 2nd guess anymore than for someone 2nd guess your life decisions.

The way i see it is this:
Having heard how the Legal system is and the Legal Laws, i would reason that once Prince decided to Protect his Art/Work in a certain way that he probably had to Protect all of his work in the same way. Therefore, even the ones that involved collaboration with other Artists had to be Protected in the same way as all of his others. That is only Fair and Genuine. smile

Funny you should say that. Two weeks ago, I put it on heavy rotation at work for three days straight. Then I played it again last week for two days solid.

I stand by my previous statement.

Ask June7. He's the one that removed THIS thread from Music:Non-Prince.

Does THAT answer you question?

Wow, ya don't say? That might be because, y'know, it IS.
