thank you
you're welcome

lol

Such an obvious adlib and Ive never even thought of it before. I cant say I noticed it on the video but would love 2 see it sumwhere. Sum1 should make a thread of best adlibs, I think we'd get sum funny stuff. wink

Why you guys complain about his much-talking?? Let the burha talk, we don't(I) hear from him that much. But he's going 2 talk stupid chessy bullshit like "Do you believe in love?? Do you believe in lust?? Whats the differebce between life and death?? Do you love me??? Do you want me?? I want you too??" then I agree about shuting him up.

But I JUST love it when he talk like "If I gave it you what would you do with it" lol NASTY!!! I love his cool/funny talking.

I think when He was talking&going back&Fourth He lost His Audience.I think Prince spent too Much time watching "The Mack".remember the scene when Goldie has the Girls at His Crib in the Theater with the Planatarium(Misspelled)? well He talks&also enjoys Hearing Himself talk.Prince appeared too be digging that Himself.Prince would Be Grooving&then smack in the middle start talking about Sins&lose that Vibe.Peeps were like what is He Smoking?Moments like that you knew He was a 60's Kid.you see He is Singing"Do Me Baby" one Minute&then doing the "God" Song&then He starts Preaching&Peeps were like this Cat is truly a Space Cadet.I didn't like it because He would Ramble&Lose that Groove. He did it on the "Lovesexy" Show."Bob George" too "Anna Stesia".typical Prince Mind Games.

I remember seeing this show live. Except for a few wrinkles here and there it's essentially the same show on video that I saw back in '84.

I remember being highly disappointed as Prince seemed more interested in theatrics than actually performing the music we'd come to hear. Too many lulls in the performance which seemed at times geared exclusively to getting squeals from the females in the audience, which is well and good except that as a 15 year old young man I could give a shit.

Okay performance. I've seem much better from him.

I must love the video since I've seen it enough times. rolleyes lol

All the songs sound great, and performance is great, but too much time Prince being backstage, especially before he did the bathtub thang.

Some of the songs sound to close to the originals; that was actually the big critical problem with the tour as well.

Wendy looked good handing out flowers, cause you could see her tits. lol lick

God was just mind-blowing. Still the best thing he ever did live.

When Doves Cry either I listen without viewing or fast-forward.

But it is a great concert. There are better concerts from that period though, since everytime he is on tv he becomes way too "professional" for my tastes.

SOTT video and livesexy beat it also.

woot! headbang
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

The version of Purple Rain is amazing and Baby, I'm A Star is fun, but all in all I don't like this tour that much.
ONA blows it away...just hear the difference between The Beautiful Ones back then and now.

Yeah, The Beautiful Ones was played with emotion and purpose back then, not like now. And I guess that's understandable since it was newer to him than it is now. But to say ONA kicks the PR tour's ass is ludicrous!! Not only was there musicianship back then, like it is on ONA, but there was also a SHOW. Some choreography, something to actually LOOK at too!! That's the one thing I miss about his shows these days (that and the attitude smile )!!!

It was this concert that I saw on tv in the early hours of the morning on a German tv-channel that had some sort of concert-marathon. This Prince-concert was the last in a row and was a live broadcast from somewhere in the States (so probably not exactly the same as the video release, but the same tour anyway.
Due to this concert I became a Prince-fan.

How come u don't call me... touched me the most in this concert. I never heared the song before but I couldn't get it out of my mind for days.

And the fact that he talked so much and played with the audience surprised me the most because there was this mystery surrounding Prince at that time.

I love this concert still.

Yup the Prince & The Revolution get 10 stars for me.
My favorite parts in the live concert.

1. Possessed (My Favorite fast beat song that Prince sung in the concert)
2. When Doves Cry (It was ok to have the mirror effect guess they were trying to do it like in the When Doves Cry video, but they made it too long for me made me start getting dizzy in the When Doves Cry video it wasn't that long to see the mirror effects. So it should of been like in the video do it for just a little bit not through the whole song in the concert)
3.Little Red Corvette (Sweet how Wendy passed out roses in the beginning to the fans)
4. Baby I'm A Star (loved the part where the whole cast of Purple Rain joined into the song, and my favorite part of Prince put on those sunglasses danceing with the security guards:lol:.)
5. God (should of been on the Purple Rain soundtrack why wasn't it put on the soundtrack? Its such a beautiful song.)

I remember seeing the commercial soon after the actual official video for I Would Die 4 U/Baby I'm a Star...

Then I saw it sometime after...bought it...it was great. It's slightly over the top because...that was 1984/85!

Things were big and bold...plus it was a big audience who wanted to relive the Purple Rain experience.

I was dissapointed that it didn't have that other I Would Die 4 U/Baby I'm a Star video performance...at least there was another version that was great as well...

I loved two parts:
When he extends the songs and asked for the timbale from Sheila, fabulous...

And in the middle part of Baby I'm A Star...just stops, no shirt, turns and starts walking...too cool. He just kicked ass. He had his thing down by then, no doubt.
