My biggest regret is not going to the aftershow at the Forum in 1993 after the Wembley concert. Eileen from Controversy fan club came round giving out tickets and then she was stopped. There were only about 400 tickets distributed. My son was only young and I decided (wrongly) that I should return home to Cheshire. When I read the reviews in the newspaper on the Monday morning, I was heartbroken and sat in my office and cried.
I have been to other aftershows since which were brilliant but I will always remember my great sadness at missing the show in the Forum. (and it was free!!!) | |

In the fall of 1984 a couple girls stopped by my dorm room and invited me to go with them to Bogart's -- a small club/theater about two blocks away -- to see the Red, Hot and Blue Review for $5 or $10. I didn't go.
Turns out it was Prince and the Revolution (red + blue = purple) and it was a warm up show for the Purple Rain tour. Although I wasn't a HUGE Prince fan yet, I still kick myself for that one! I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here. | |

Not going to see the great man in concert before the O2 shows last year. I always assumed concert going was an expensive and pain-in-the-ass way to spend your savings, what with all the travelling arrangments, fuss over getting hold of tickets. But after the magic of the O2 shows last year (last night's concert and aftershow in particular) I realised that all the effort and cost (which wasn't half as bad as I'd expected) was totally worth it, and then some!!
I so wish I'd made the effort to get involved in some of his tours in the past, though I'd have been a bit too young for his 80's hey-day. Fingers crossed, the man hits the road again soon!! www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site! | |

If you thought that Prince had the Monopoly on frilly ruffled shirts and heavey make-up circ '83 - '84 then Wrong - WRONG!!! Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran easily holds that crown - that man's sponsored by Rimmel! My regret is choosing not to go to see NPG act 1 live because it was at a stadium and not an arena. Previously to it I didn't enjoy the Diamonds and Pearls shows at Earls court and didn't think I was missing much. there is a series on BBC 3 or 4 at present going through 60's, 70's 80's etc. and there were loads of people dressed girly/regency/frilly fashion/make-up the works before during and after Prince but don't think anyone could dance like him. 
A few months later I saw the one off NPG act 2 show at Wembley arena and it was and still is one of my favourite live shows of his. Wish I'd gone to the stadium now. "C'mon y'all - let me hear you sing, c'mon y'all, shake, c'mon y'all, jump" - Yes Prince -

I am amazed even now how many people turn down invitations - either you miss something good or you probably won't be asked again - why are people so fussy? Year ago people wouldn't dream of refusing an invitation - they would think it was the height of bad manners - suffice to say i am a yes to invites person "C'mon y'all - let me hear you sing, c'mon y'all, shake, c'mon y'all, jump" - Yes Prince -

Mine would be missing the SOTT tour too. I had tickets for Wembley Stadium but he cancelled. I'd even bought my peach and black outfit as requested!
However, I did see Parade the year before and Lovesexy the next year, so I'll still die happy. | |

Mine is not buying the "Paisley Park" picture disc when I saw it in 1985. I now have it but had to spend a good bit on it on E-Bay, 20 years after originally seeing it. DOH!! Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. | |

My biggest regret is that I cannot always go where Prince goes. Especially not his religious mind trips. I am sorry I cannot just be happy for him. I just wish he could have stayed a little dirty minded sex fiend forever.

I hope you are objecting to the lack of decorum and common courtesy that is now lacking in the way people decline an invitation and do not mean to insinuate that every invitation should be accepted solely because it was offered?
