I was just thinking earlier.

Prince has many admirers from all over. They look to his music for entertainment as well as guidance through their darkest of days.

Something about him and/or his music has drawn all of us together.

What is it that you admire most about him and/or his music? And would you like to have any of his traits or talents as your own?

Here's a few to give u more of an idea:

Would you wish you could write music like him?
Write poetry like him?
Even be more confident as a person?


I'd personally opt for the last one. I'd like to be comfortable in my own skin the same way he seems to be.

If I could be like Prince, I would love to be a singer/songwriter, and to be able to play so many instruments like he does. If I even had HALF of Prince's talent, I'd be very happy (but unfortunately, I don't). I would love to be able to do what Prince does, to be able to create music that brings people together and to catch people's attention. I guess that's not why I was put here on this earth.

I would like to have some of his creativity, charisma and energy. A little bit of his money wouldn't hurt either.

I wish I had his scriptwriting talent.

I wouldn't mind having his prowess on keys and guitar. I could stop there.

Mostly I've come to this conclusion because as human beings, I think each of us have little things about ourselves that we are not happy with. But with Prince being as visible as he has been over the years, you can't help but observe certain things about him that throw up red flags in the confidence department.

Not to be picking on Prince, because I would be one of the first to stick up for him in a fight (yes, I guess I drank the Purple Kool-Aid, lol). And for another, he seems to be self-conscious about the length of his neck (thus all the high collars and other designs that always cover his neck). And I've noticed when I have seen him close-up, his neck is very long (some would even say elegantly so), especially in comparison to the size of his head (the physical size, not his ego).

I'm sure there are other things I could point out, but again; I don't want to pick on Prince, and we all have our issues. These are just my observations against what many see as Prince being so comfortable in his own skin. He's human, just like us, just hugely more talented than many in the musical department.

And so it goes without saying, there's plenty about Prince that I would like to be like. I guess the main thing (aside from having his Bank Account, obviously) is that I would LOVE to have my own personal Paisley Park, and the unlimited time he has to schedule his day however he pleases.

In regards to all the things about Prince that we love and admire, I say "good for him!" God Bless Him! He's earned everything he has, mostly in the face of great opposition, prejudice, and hate. I remember back in the day, people could not seem to stop hurling the "F" bomb at him at every turn. Now those same guys would give their left nut to have the women that Prince has had and discarded.

Gay, Straight, or somewhere in between - I Love Prince, and there's plenty to admire and envy about him!

I think the main thing I'd like to have, if not self-confidence, is his lack-of-fear of saying whatever's on his mind. I keep my feeling lacked inside in public, so most of the time, it's hard for some people to get to know me.

He's never afraid to say what he means and means what he says.

Oh lawd, where do I start? I guess most of all, I wish I had his guts. I mean, this brother will just say and do whatever he wants and that is amazing. It don't matter if its prancing around in drawers or preaching the bible, he does what he wants. I want that kinda attitude.

His Brazenness....cause like PDogz said above somewhere, I don't think he is the most confident person but he plays it off like he is.

I mean can you imagine what it must of been like for him starting out...this short, pretty, feminine-looking, light-skinned guy. He knows people are chatting him so he uses it, plays it off, comes up with Contraversy. It may upset him but I think stuff like that also makes him a stronger person and he plays to his strengths.
